My NFL Power Rankings: Week 14

13. Miami Dolphins (6-6) (last wk #20) Huge win over the Pats; back in control of their own destiny.




uhhh, but we don't control our own destiny...
 
essentially, they do. if they win out, the odds are in their favor. but youre right, they need some help... but if you look at the schedules, its help they will in all liklihood get.
 
I can understand that logic I suppose. While they don't control their own destiny, if they win out its statically unlikely they'll be eliminated with the several different ways we can get in. However, technically they still do not control it :)
 
I still do disagree about having the Packers that high. Yes they won, and yes Rogers looked good, but the only reason they won was because the Ravens played equally terrible by making so many mistakes. Not a top caliber team.

Honestly cant look at GB's win that way.

Look all around the NFL 1 team looks good one week and ****ty the next week. A win is a win and should be regarded as such. But no worries :)

We do control our own destiny I believe... We play Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. If we beat those 2, we essentially get ourselves a wildcard spot assuming we beat Houston and Tennessee.

Nope, we can win out and still miss. If Baltimore also wins out with us they get in.
 
The origonal poster shpuld be banned in my opinion. All he does is go to variety of different message boards and post "his" opinions on what team should be ranked where. The problem is the site is pimping out products so everytime someone clinks on that page, mnofdichotomy gets paid!

And are you some kinda communist or something that believes people should not be allowed to get paid for their thoughts?

So he's getting paid, so what? He stuck around long enough to reply to responses both here and at his 'paid' posting. Leave him alone and comment on the actual content.

I don't agree with a number of your rankings, but I don't think they're terrible.

The Fins absolutely do not control their own destiny. After this weekend they may, but right now they do not. To say otherwise is to simply be wrong.
 
Other than the obsurd idea that the raiders are 21st and putting the boys over the Eagles, everything else looks pretty good. Drop the raiders down to 27th and flip philly and dallas I would have to agree with most of the rest.

With the history of the cowboys this time of year and the eagles on a 3 game winning streak, and with the phiily having a better division and conference record, it is hard to make a case for the cowboys being ahead of the eagles. I might would have to drop them a few more spots as well. They really aren't that good.
 
Dam im rooting for an upset of the ravens since their schedule is really favorable.

Hopefully Steelers beat them and Oakland. Watch Oakland n Gradkowski He is very sneaky
