I just got back from both the morning and afternoon practices and I know there are other threads reporting on the mini-camp so I will try my best not to repeat info. from other threads. Rather than be repetitive, I will provide some random notes I made that I haven’t seen mentioned. Disclaimer: I am no expert scout or reporter by any means.

Morning Session:

Starting OL was same as yesterday: Carey-Mormino-Satele-Rex-LJ

Ronnie is definitely back in shape

News everyone is going to like, I did not see Hagan drop a pass….all day!!!!

L. Booker really impressed me today. He is very shifty and elusive. In 9 on 7 running drills from the 30 yard line, he had one run where he bounced to the outside and was tackled(touched) at about the 5. Very next play he started outside and then made a quick cut inside and was off to the races.

Ginn is as advertised as far as speed goes. He didn’t get too much action in 11 on 11 drills in the morning.

The Cobb vs. Chatman battle for the 3rd RB spot is going to be a close one.

Also in 9 on 7 drills Channing had a good workout, filling gaps and disrupting running plays in the backfield.

First let me say, I am a Daunte fan and wish he could stay w/ us but it’s not my decision. I was kind of upset when we traded for Trent, b/c I had a feeling Daunte would not get his shot with Miami. With that being said, the thing that impressed me besides Trent’s tight spiral and accuracy was that Trent Green stayed on the field about 20-30 minutes after practice had ended signing autographs….i think he may have been the last player signing autographs and it looked like he signed his autograph for everyone that wanted it.

Afternoon Session

In 1 on 1drills (wr vs. cb) from the 10 yard line Derek Hagan absolutely put on a clinic against every cb that he went up against. He caught jump balls, fade routes, faked out cb’s at the line of scrimmage to get clean releases, he did it all. And again no drops!!!

Ginn had a rough session when he was pressed and bumped at the line. However, he did have the longest catch of the day by burning J. Allen for what would’ve been over a 50 yard gain, which is something I’m not used to seeing from the Dolphins so that was very good to see. He can definitely stretch the field.

Matt Roth had an overall good day and seems ready to start…according to my notes he had a sack in morning session and a pick in the evening session.
Overall the defense dominated our offense as we are used to seeing especially up front. I guess this is too be expected for now with 5 new starters at each position on the line, a new qb, and not to mention we do have a top 5 defense.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will try and answer to best of my ability

Very nice report, thanks.

Hopefully hagan has a breakout season this year. I don't expect ginn to play too much WR this year but when he does it'll be fly patterns and streak's.. could very well have like 30 catches for 600 yards anda c ouple td's or something like that. high average.

great notes......

how is the tight end position looking?

also how is the secondary?

I don't know why,(I'm not getting my hopes up,say a Super Bowl or something)but I having a good feeling about this upcoming year.

Looks like he's learning from JT:D

As far as tight end's go....the only thing I remember is David Martin catching a few short to medium range passes but nothing too memorable from te's as a whole.

Thanks for the report, and glad to hear that Hagan is developing.

Nice report.

How did the QB's look?

In my opinion the qb's had a an average day.

They looked fine throwing the ball in 1 on 1 drills but struggled w/ 11 on 11 drill against our D in which they were pressured.

And to all u are welcome, thanks for the kind words...I will be going back today for Sunday's 11am session so i will have a report for you guys when i get back
