Sloppiness and penalties are the words to describe this entire game. It is obvious that this group haven't been together as one long enough to really gel (and I am not just talking about the o-line).

QB: Jay Fiedler threw 2 ints.. in a game that he had to prove himself worthy of the starter position Wanny gave him. Wanny said Jay is starting "THIS WEEK." In other words, Jay had one more chance.. and blew it! I love the guy, but he is shooting his own foot. AJ came out and was automatically a difference maker. His passes obviously had more velocity than Fiedlers. You can hear the football hit the hands of the reciever. He needs better pocket presence though. And that INT was a rookie-like mistake. He has to either take the sack or throw it away. Also one more thing... our pass game is much more vertical with Feeley.

RB: For a RB who was signed 48 hours before-hand and didnt practice, Gordon did fine. We didnt even expect him to play because of Sammy Morris's injury. Gordon broke out a few runs decently, but still has to get to know our offense and its terminology. There were a few misscomunications, like Feeley's INT. Gordon needs to improve his recieving as well. He bobbled a screen and that ruined the timing. Otherwise I didnt expect much out of him.

O-line: THEY NEED TO STEP IT UP BETTER. Feeley is a POCKET PASSER. He needs time to throw it. He is not a scrambler like Fiedler. When Feeley has time he is deadly accurate for the most part. Also run blocking... they must NOT allow defenses to penetrate.

K: That better have been a fluke missed FG by Mare.. otherwise we are going to have a long season.

Defense: What can I say? This group plays with heart. It is the heart and soul of the dolphins once again. Jay Williams stepped up bigtime after o-gun departing. Zach Thomas is playing better too.

Playcalling: Questionable at times. What the hell is with the plays on 3rd down that keep the reciever short of the first down. There were 3 times that we didnt make the first down.

Next week lets hope there is more unity in the offense with Feeley starting and Gordon having a week of practice and able to learn our system. We CAN beat the Bengles.. Because the week after WE NEED THIS TEAM TO GEL OR WE ARE IN TROUBLE.

Good report man, i couldnt agree more on what you said.

Bravo, Bravo and more Bravo. Its too early for fans to panic. This team will get going and in a few weeks should really be exciting.

I agree that in a few weeks we COULD be exciting, but DW has to make a decision NOW to choose the guys he wants in there and STICK with them. The O line CANNOT change AGAIN. Feeley needs to STAY in, no matter WHAT he does.

finally there is someone who makes some sense. I couldnt agree with you more. the next couple of weeks will decide the fate of this team for the rest of the year. hopefully it turns out for the best.
