Hello Phins Fans!

This past Sunday was another dreadful step in Miami Dolphins history, but it should have been expected by most as we are rebuilding. It was very nice to see a large turnout of Phins Fans in Glendale, Arizona. I would say a good 15-20% of the crowd was wearing Dolphin Jerseys or t-shirts. We all knew coming in the key to the game would be shutting down Boldin and Fitzgerald. Well that didn't happen and what ensued was a rout.

It was amazing to see how much of a difference Wisenhunt has done with his team in a couple of seasons. They out coached our crew Sunday big time. It looked like Miami was running a cover four, for the most part, in base 3-4 packages on first and second downs. Wisenhunt and Co. must have expected this because they set up Boldin and Fitzgerald on the same side of the ball a lot and used motion to get favorable mismatches. The first Cards TD of the game was a good example. Boldin ran the seam between the corner and the safety and took it to the house. On Fitz's first big play, he was one on one with Will Allen, Fitz just out jumped Allen for the ball and broke Crocker's attempted tackle (easily) and nearly took it to the house (if not for Allen's hustle

Our Phins did not adjust to the Cardinals successful scheme. I don't know how much man to man coverage schemes Palsquoni has, but they could have been helpful with two safeties deep. Warner was able to get the ball out quickly on most plays because our corners were basically one on one. Our run defense looked ok, but missed tackles led to key first downs for the Cards on third downs. Langford had a solid game, but not many other defensive players have much success.

Largely I put most of our defensive struggles on the defensive scheme and lack of adjustments. There are probably only a couple (or none) of corners in the league that can cover Boldin and Fitz one on one. I think our Line backing corps struggles in pass coverage force our coaches to have to play a cover four in base packages. Roth plays a lot on first and second downs and doesn't have a lot of pass coverage abilities (yet). Crowder is always chasing someone down after they've caught the ball and Porter is just ok in pass coverage. Palsquoni and Sparano need to take a hard look at our defense scheme and make either make changes in personnel or coverage, seeing how we don't have many great players on defense; I'm guessing it'll be the latter.

Offensively the Cards stacked against the run. Antrelle Rolle and Pro Bowler Adrian Wilson were all over the line of scrimmage on first and second downs as an eighth man in the box. Pennington has no velocity on his throws. It seems like they take an eternity to get to their targets. On a few play action plays that worked well, there were receivers open down the field, but Pennington never took the shots. I'm not sure if he didn't think he could make the throw or didn't see them, but he threw check downs instead. The Offensive Line gets a pass this game for run blocking because the Cards just loaded up on the run.

Chad Henne. What can I say, I like his velocity. I know the Cards were playing a prevent defense, but he sure could hit the open man. The Cards may have a better defense than they have had the past few seasons, but I would sure have liked to see if Chad Henne could have picked them apart because that Cards corners have been bad the last few years. It showed a little because Pennington was able to find Camarillo on a few long gains. Henne looked in control and even took a couple of hits that didn't seem to rattle him. Ronnie should have caught Henne's first NFL TD, but Henne did wait a second too long to throw it.

Enough of that, the experience was for me mostly because I live in Arizona and don't get to watch too many Phins games in person. This was my second Phins game and it was just as fun as the first (maybe the first was a little better because we beat the Chargers). We have a long rebuilding road ahead of us, but we do have some promising young players on our team. Good luck to our Phins next week and beat them Patsies!

GO PHINS!

Wasn't it believed that Kurt Warner could pick us appart if we played a Zone? I agree this coverage scheme didn't work but Pasqualli thought it would be best to play this scheme. Our talent at Corner and Safety obviously wasn't up to the task of covering pro bowl receivers because Crocker, Hill, and Goodman are other teams rejects.

What game were you at ?

I think that is just a tad of an exaggeration, just a tad and I was there as well
I did see a bunch of aqua.

And oh, yea, the place was so packed!

Even we could've packed that place. How big is it?

There were a lot of Phin fans there. In the section where I sat we were surrounded by Phin Fans. I think most of the second level is where the majority of the Phin Fans were.

I was in 446 Upper Deck Vistors Side. Seats 6,7,8,and 9. I say their probably were like 3,000Dolphin Fans on our side alone. When I looked around the Stadium it was packed with mostly red. Their were a few aquas around. I say at 5,000.

One thing I couldn't stand was my kids were razzed all game long by Cardinal Fans in our section. They were down right mean to them. My best Jeff and I almost got into 2 fights. I think I am not going to go to any games for awhile it's just too damn expensive and we are not winning right now and people can be such ****heads when you are bad like we are.
