Ok.... So we won a nail biter in Jacksonville today.:) The bad news: we had another 4th quarter meltdown... but this time it was at the hands of the offense. Here are some things I noticed during the game.

1. Paul Solia. Played one hell of a game out there today. He was getting penetration through the offensive line today, and ultimately was a big reason why we were able to contain MJD. Jason Ferguson going down was a huge loss and looked like it could've stuck a dagger in our defense. One thing you have to admire about the Miami Dolphins is how when one player goes down, another comes in and fills in noticably well. Nice job Paul Solia

2. The defense is general. They played outstanding on a day that the offense looked miserable after halftime. Had they folded in the 4th as they have done so many times this season, Jacksonville would've blown us out of the water. If the defense keeps playing like this, Miami's chance at the playoffs greatly increases. Nice job D, keep it up.

3. Ball carrying. We clearly have an issue if we handle the ball like this everytime the field is a little wet. There is no excuse for your starting running back fumbling 3 times. If the defense hadn't played so well, these fumbles lost would've eaten us alive. This is a problem that can kill a team, and Miami will not get away with turnovers like this very often.

4. Chad Henne. Nice job out there today. Big heads up play on our last offensive play of the game where he rolled to the right and stayed in bounds. He also put together several nice drives early. The pick was more of a good play by the cornerback in recognizing what was going on. Henne continues to develop, and is now 7-3 as a starter. That says it all to me.

5. Offensive line. Henne has a beautiful poacket to throw from all day long, and wouldn't have been able to complete 17 in a row without their help. They also open up running lanes. We dominated the trenches today, which is a big reason why we emerged victorious.

6. Lousaka Polite. Nothing needs to be said other than he came up huge for us today in blocking and running. Nice job.

Honorable mentions: Cameron Wake, Randy Starks, Greg Camarillo, and Reggie Torbor.

My observation:

We struggled in our easiest remaining game!!! With Tenn, Houston, and Pitt waiting for us, we could easily lose the next three if we don't play A LOT better!

Jacksonville wasn't an easy game. I think our easiest will be Houston or Pittsburgh. I think Tennessee is the big test.

How is an away game against a Jags team that just dissected a Texans team easy?

Hmmmm, Pitt and Houston both have top notch passing games while Tenn is primarily at run offense. Remind me, what does our team struggle with again???

Plus I said the Jags were our easiest remaining game, not an easy game.

pittsburgh is also in total dissarray and Houston is extremely banged up...

...and you were wrong. Jax has a better record than both Houston and Tennessee

Reading comprehension folks! Easiest and easy are not the same. Yes the Jags game was big, but not any bigger than the other three games. Of the four, we matched up best against the Jags and it was basically another home game, hence my reasoning for calling it our EASIEST REMAINING game.

That's solely your opinion.... I could think that Houston is our easiest remaining, and I would be just as right as you.

First let me say this...a win is a win is a win(esp on the road).

Secondly, we still won despite turning the ball over 3 times, doinking a very makable FG that would have put us up two scores, and going on the road against a 7-5 team that knew they needed to win this game. Yeah it wasn't the prettiest but I'll definitely take it.

I bet I'm not the only one who thinks the last games are our most challenging! There's the red hot Vince Young and Chris Johnson in fridgid Tenneessee, then the Texans, a great passing team who we have NEVER BEATEN, and finally the world champs who definitely do not want a losing season and may have Polomalu back.
