I want to know if you guys see what I see out there, here are some off-season views

I hate when people jump to far ahead, and I am much looking forward to the Fins having these final two big games. I just wanted to get some response to what I think is a decent plan for next season.

Top Prioritys:dolphins:

1. QB- Either a good veteran, or a rookie to develop around.
2. CB- I would like to keep Madison around, but everybody else can go. We can have Will Poole as nickel, move Travis Daniels to Safety, maybe! I would like a stud #1, or one equal to Madison.
3. OLB- With Seau defninetly leaving, we have an opening. Donnie Spragan has not shown me anything, so adding one in free agency is likely. I Love Crowder!
4. LT- Carey is finally starting to become worth the first round pick, but I am not sold on Mcintosh.

Young talent that we definetly keep

Ronnie Brown
Wes Welker
Vernon Carey
Rex Hadnot
Manuel Wright
Matt Roth
Derrick Pope
Channing Crowder
Travis Daniels
Will Poole
"Playmaker" Yeremiah Bell
Travares Tillman
Donnie Jones
Kevin Vickerson
Wade Smith

Vets we need to keep around, a few are obvious!

Sage Rosenfels
Sammy Morris
Chris Chambers
Randy McMichael
Jeno James
Seth Mckinney (maybe)
David Bowens
Jason Taylor
Vonnie Holliday
Kevin Carter
Zach Thomas
Jason Glenn
Sam Madison
Olindo Mare

Guys that should definetly not be back

Bryan Gilmore
David Boston
Stockar McDougale
Jeff Zgonina ( He is getting up there, sorry)
Eddie Moore ( I hate him)
The infamous Reggie Howard
Lance Shulters (Only as a backup, High on him early, has shown an inability to cover TE's: Ben Watson, Antonio Gates, Doug Jolly)
Junior Seau

Others that I am not sure about

Keith Traylor- Would be 17th year, not sure if he can hold up.

Gus Frerotte- Depends on alot of things. I would be happy with him as my backup

Ricky Williams- Depends on trade value, I still love watching him play

Marty Booker- We will see if there is a better option available, but he has shown flashes when healthy

Damion Mcintosh- Good in pass protection, I would like a great LT if possible

Tebucky Jones- I like the youngsters, and he has regressed, but If there no better options, I would not mind bringing him back.

There are other role players such as Travis Minor, Kiwakee Thomas, Donnie Spragan, Alonzo Ephraim, Lorenzo Diamond, that we will have to wait and see about.

Three or Four impact free agents, maybe two starters out of the draft right away, and more development of our young talent, and I think we will be even better next year.

what do people see in Daniel that makes them think he belongs at safty?

Pretty nice size and he has played the position under Saban before. Plus with Will Poole and Mitchell both probably being back next year we might able to move some people around and see if they will work out better at different positions in the secondary.

My only issue with Shiryonda Mitchell is that he has little too know in game experience. Honestly, I haven't seen enough in him to say I want him in a significant role next year.

he's played S in college, and they want Will Poole to play CB.

Spragan hasn't showed you anything? IMO he's looked good when he blitzes, but yeah we need another guy.

We keep Sage as long as he understands he will be either a backup or a caretaker until a rookie is ready.

IMO we should keep Gilmore for his ST play. Add another WR through the draft/FA.

The C/RG depends solely on Rex Hadnot. He's a keeper (unlike other Houston linemen), if he plays like he did on Sunday at C we look for a G, if he struggles, we either resign Mckinney, look at Bentley, or draft a C. Ephraim is a good guy for ST, and an occasional play or two on offense, but he commits too many personal fouls to be a full time starter IMO.

Kiwakee Thomas stays. He's been great for ST, and does well on defense (when he plays)

IMO we need to look for another TE that can catch/block. Diamond really hasn't given us much, but IMO we need another guy besides him/McMike.

It seems to me the only reason there is a need at CB is because people move Daniels to S. He has worked well enough for my money to at least be the nickel corner, so I join the others who believe the best course would be to keep him at CB and draft a safety.

I definitely agree.

I don't know. Shirdonya Mitchell should be heavily considered. But still draft a CB. As for moving Travis to safety... let the Nicktator decide that.

3. OLB- With Seau defninetly leaving, we have an opening. Donnie Spragan has not shown me anything, so adding one in free agency is likely. I Love Crowder!

I disagree. Donnie Spragan is damn good.

4. LT- Carey is finally starting to become worth the first round pick, but I am not sold on Mcintosh.

True....

Lorenzo Diamond. I agree with the rest of the list.

I highly doubt Lance Schulters will be gone. As for more.....:baghead:

Others that I am not sure about

Keith Traylor- Would be 17th year, not sure if he can hold up.

He's signed through 2006. He's here.

Gus Frerotte- Depends on alot of things. I would be happy with him as my backup

Agree

Ricky Williams- Depends on trade value, I still love watching him play

I'm sorry, but I want R/R to be here as long as possible.

Marty Booker- We will see if there is a better option available, but he has shown flashes when healthy

I like dude

Damion Mcintosh- Good in pass protection, I would like a great LT if possible

True.....

Tebucky Jones- I like the youngsters, and he has regressed, but If there no better options, I would not mind bringing him back.

I prefer Tillman

There are other role players such as Travis Minor, Kiwakee Thomas, Donnie Spragan, Alonzo Ephraim, Lorenzo Diamond, that we will have to wait and see about.

In my opinion, we need to keep Spragan. Diamond is turning into an Hybrid Back, which is exactly Linehan uses in his system instead of a Fullback. That said, I would also like to keep Morris and Barnes. Travis Minor.... I think he needs to be cut and replaced by K.J. Harris of our PS. Kiwaukee Thomas... let's see. Alonzo Ephraim would be a good starter if he calmed his behind down.

Three or Four impact free agents, maybe two starters out of the draft right away, and more development of our young talent, and I think we will be even better next year.

He was a safety that was converted to CB.

According to his draft overview on nfl.com he played mostly cornerback his junior or senior years.

Yeah. Before that, he was a safety.

Edit: Not that I want Travis Daniels to be moved to safety, nor am I opposed to it. I'll let the Nicktator handle that.

according to that the year before he was a nickel back.

Just seems to me that the important years he was a cornerback.

I agree with everything accept Booker, why get rid of him? He's a soild No 2 IMO.
