My Offseason Predictions

My predictions for the offseason:
-Tannebaum Gone tomorrow
-Gase retained with better DC added
-Tannehill gone (can’t keep him at his current cap hit unless he restructures at 12mil/year or less)
-Burke replaced with higher profile DC
-Contracts restructured to be more cap friendly across the board
-LB, DL and especially OL beefed up in draft/FA. Expect high profile pro bowl OL added at guard and center.
-Bigger gameplan for Drake and Ballage / Stronger run game emphasis as gameplan next season.
-More smashmouth run game/ play-action offense implemented next season.
-Bulking up draft picks to invest on 2020 QB class
-Emphasis on more effective player drafting (trenches first) with Grier staying or new VP
-Draft focused on OL and LB
-Howard extended
-Wilson extended


and people need to stop thinking the salary cap is infinite money. We aren’t going anywhere to improve this roster with a QB currently available for more than 12-14 mil a year. Have to build elsewhere first.
 
Much to my dismay I have to agree with you on coaching predictions. I to think Gase will be retained and we'll have more of the same next year.

you lost me at "restructures".......the reason our cap is not great is because of restructures that were not neccesary
 
That would be disappointing IMO. Gase's team looks unprepared and flat in most games. They are also extremely undisciplined. All signs of a poorly coached team. Gase's offense is just as bad if not worse than Burke's defense. Firing only Burke and Tannenbaum will not solve all the problems with this team.

trade down and dump high cap guys for picks. Wake is worth a pick. Quinn is worth a pick. Amendola is worth a pick. Stills is worth a higher pick. Same way every other team does. The pipe dream that we are “just a QB away” with this paper mache OL LB and DL is laughable.
 
Gase IMO is very likely to get 1-2 more years because of injuries. Especially with the QB situation last 3 seasons.

I agree! Gase is part of the problem.
 
But can you get a high profile DC with Gase in position to be fired after next season if he isn't this season?
 
LOL bulk and beef up.
Deja vu to the beginning of the season when we had beefed up and bulked up the DL line. Our pass rush was going to be the BEST in the NFL LOL sucked the worse.

and we want to keep Wake. we should sign wade and haslem too.
 
I think while gase has a world to improve on with his playcalling style his big complaint will be complimentary football and his best accolade will be the first 3 games this season with his “full desired roster”

and i think tannebaum goes because of that and understanding this team was still a year or two away from proper contract management that TB didn’t bring.

Wake's a free agent
Quinn and Amendola will garner you squat
Stills might get you a mid round pick
 
Have to blow it all up at this point. I would look to add a veteran coach like Mike Shanahan, Mike Martz, John Fox or maybe John Harbaugh if the asking price isn't too high.

I would keep Grier because he's been above average in his three drafts.

Qb has to be a priority. Move up for Kyler Murray. Go heavy in the trenches with the remaining picks.

Wake and Amendola won't get you more than a 6th. One will be 37 next year and the other will be 34 and just had a 550 yd 1 td season.
