My Opinion Of Derrius Thompson being released.

I think that they put Derrius Thompson on IR because they wanted to make room for Peerless Price. Seeing that the last game of the pre-season Derrius was shining, Saban didn't want to cut him because he knew he had potential so he put him on IR when he injured his hamstring and would be out for at least a month or two. Thinking that 2 months was too long they put him on IR also thinking they were going to get Price. Not only did the Dolphins feel screwed by Peerless Price, Derrius felt screwed that he was placed on IR and wasn't going to be able to play this season. So the Dolphins released him so he can find a job elsewhere.

I think Thomspson was too slow for this offense. we need burners to get downfield and Wes Welker will provide. he is not the outright fastest, but he knows how to get downfield............the aqua latern.

I'm fairly sure it was around 2 mill for a year with the incentives and everything.

if they placed him on IR just to try and get price, i woudl think we would have hear alot more roomers about price. and maybe even a bidding war between dallas and the fins. but i dont think that the fins were really looking at price in any serious way.
