my opinion on fisher's waiting game

I think the real reason Fisher has not decided is because neither team want to give him complete control over a franchise. I think he's holding out untill someone will offer him final say on all personnel (free agents, drafts, game-day rosters, ect).

Last I saw there was a 18 page thread about Miami offering him full control so this surely isn't the reason. He gets full control with either team.

The Rams have pretty much cleaned house so Fisher would be able to put all his people in there. It's hard to see what more they can do

The Dolphins haven't cleaned house and it's not clear whether they would in order to get Fisher. Even if they set it up so that Ireland reports to Fisher I would think there will be something in the contract that offers Ireland some protection - something along the lines of Fisher having to settle the compensation for Ireland out of his own pocket in the event of Ireland's sacking

No, it never said full control. It only said his title would be VP of Football Operations, which was the same title he had in Tennessee - the same place where he DIDNT have full control over personnel.

People read that aticle and took it way beyond what it actually said. It never said full control over personnel.

Perhaps the thing holding up negotiations is Fisher's demand to be given a ceremonial penis washing by a topless cheerleader every morning.

Close. Fisher demanded the same from Stephen Ross' daughters. Ross offered cheerleaders instead, and that's when negotiations hit a snag.

school me if I've got this wrong, but the guy FROM soCal is worried that a former soCal team might try to move BACK to soCal?!!! and he has a problem with that??

did I fall and hit my head, cuz I don't see the "woe is me" in that.

Highly doubt their gonna hire a GM one day and then a coach the next that would have power over the gm.

I agree ... As much as Indy seems to look better than MIA, they as well have an unstable environment to deal with. It is just a simpler fix that is needed from the casual fans eyes (Draft Luck, Keep Manning (mentor) or release manning. They still have all the FA problems and GM/Coach issues, and Irsay new directive for the franchise.

my opinion is that nobody knows squat and when all is done, fisher will tell you what really went on in his mind, albeit, around the bushes.
