their not going to make the final 53....Nalbone and Ellis prolly going to make PS tho....but we never carry 4 OTs....

Way too early to tell.

I am hoping there is a cut from another team in preseason that would greatly affect our defense, for the better.. If we can get a waived player on the defense like we acquired Pennington during the preseason for the offense last year, that would be huge for the team.

I am sure Ireland will be looking at that waiver wire intently. Because I have a feeling more moves will be made to improve the team for this year.. And sooner rather than later.

I just don't like the NT and ILB spots down the middle.. If you look at some other 3-4 defenses you will see they have better ILB's-- like Mayo and Bruschi behind Wilfork for the Pats, James Farrior who has been great for the Steelers inside behind their good NT.. Ray Lewis and Scott for the ravens behind Ngata, and now Scott and Harris for the Jets behind Jenkins.

Those are clearly better and more talented triangles than we have up front down the middle.

If we can get a really good player via the waiver wire for any of those spots, that would be great.

The Dolphins have excellent safety help down the middle to back the front 7 up, with Yeremiah Bell and Gibril Wilson combining for a whopping 250+ tackles last season, both leading their respective defenses in tackles last season... But I would really like to get more talent down the middle for the front 7 in that inner front line triangle.

forgot long snapper - unless ur going to have JT do it and thats risky

other than that, it could happen

Walden doesn't make the team? What did Charlie Anderson do in a whole season that Walden didn't do in a partial season that would make you say that?

Anderson at least made some contributions on defense, unlike Walden. i'm not saying Anderson should make the team, but Walden would be easier to cut IMO.

Charlie Anderson made that key punt block in the last game versus the Jets.. Watch the highlights again, he really laid out for that one, and had no regard for his body in his attempt.

The Jets didn't have a punt blocked all season long until the last 15 minutes of their season on that play.. Remember that the great Mike Westhoff is New York's special teams coach.

I'll always remember Anderson for that.
