i think people have mixed feelings about dauntes performance last night. people. he did exactly what we wanted him to do...he got hit a couple times...got right back up, and he led a 9 min scoring drive that ended with sammy doing his thing. if u didnt notice he was a bit gunshy in the beginning, but as soon as he got hit a couple times, he was set to go, yeah some of his passes were a little off, but they were on enough to move the chains and score a td. his mobility isnt all the way back, but he can move. now that he got hit, and in his mind he knows, "i can take a hit" he will do MUCH better come next week against carolina. so im promising you to see the accurate daunte we all know and love, and i promise you none of you will be dissapointed in his performance at all. if im wrong and he plays like crap, the people who run this website can kick me off of it. im that confident in him.

No one is gonna kick you off the site, but yeah i thouht daunte preformed well, and is mentally ready to play.

We're gonna see a Daunte more accurate than last night? You mean better than a 78% completion percentage?

i thought daunte look good last night considering he had bucs defenders in his face on almost every play during the first two drives...

Yes Daunte looks good, but Im most impressed by Joey man that dude was putting his passes on the money and should have had a TD if Rader didnt drop it,that was a beautiful pass. Looks like we could have two QBs that can get it done

I think the bucs were missing a couple of starters like rice & brooks...if they had started this game it may have turned out different.

How so?? their 1st unit shut out our 1st unit for the first 3 drives before we scored on a combo of their 1st and 2nd team..what would have been the difference??

i thought daunte did great...the o line sucked but he still did an awesome job. Now true, there were times where if the ball was thrown in front of the guy isntead of a little behind (namely the pass to hagan) it would have been a longer gain, but the ball was ALWAYS catchable. Even the one that chambers was covered (more like blanketed by ronde barber) went right through chris' hands despite the coverage.

If that's the case, then our opponents 100% ****ed.

When I looked at the replay of the Hagan completion from the view behind the quarterback, it appeared to me that #96 was in the passing lane. If Daunte leads Hagan and #96 sticks his left hand up, then it's an incomplete pass or interception - and not a 1st down.

I just wouldn't necessarily assume that's not where Daunte wanted to throw the ball.

Here's what I saw on the Hagan pass. If the ball (right next to the defender's helmet) is thrown much farther to the left then it's possible #96 makes a play on it.

Daunte did exactly what we hoped he would, showed no ill effects from his injury, and had a 78% completion percentage. I was very happy with his performance. Now the OL was another story, but surely they will get better as they have time to gel. JH sure looked good, very encouraging we have a good backup QB.
