I dont care if people agree, this is my rant(s):

Two seasons ago: 10-6
One season ago: 4-12
After the first season that was listed they got a new head coach, proclaimed him “genius”, then turned on him like rabid animals when they failed again. Now, I should not be surprised by the animal statement seeing as how that’s the way the team attacked free agency this offseason. Grabbing whatever scraps they could and snarling at those in their own ‘pack’.
One of the foremost reasons why I loathe this team is the mentality of their organization and fans. They scream “one player away!!!”, go after older players(Alan Faneca) and/or not motivated players(Hello Calvin Pace, Vernon Gholston), and sign them to huge deals. Though to be fair, I rejoiced when they traded for Brett Farve. Yes, you heard right, I was tickled when they got the “legendary QB”:

You know, the same Farve that has the most career interceptions thrown (288). The same Farve that threatened to retire when the Packers drafted a QB in 05, threatened to retire in 06, threatened to retire in 07 because they “didn’t try hard enough to get Randy Moss”, and did retire during the 08 offseason then came back and was shocked that his former team got sick of his drama. This is the same “legend” that had the audacity to sit there with a straight face and say part of the reason why he left Green Bay was because of “hurt feelings”(referring to his hurt feelings that the team didn’t beg for him to come back). And what makes this even more delicious is the fact that this trade is for draft picks.
So while the Jets organization goes out and signs/trades draft picks for big names, they underpay and don’t appreciate players that have been apart of the team for years and contribute. How many times during the last few seasons have we seen threatened holdouts because of unfulfilled promises? Pete Kendall? Laveranues Coles? Chris Baker?
So while I hate you for all those reasons, please continue making the same mistakes over and over again. Burn that cap room and draft iffy players, because nothing spells long term success like pissing off your team and grabbing elder players.
Patriots, Bills, and Colts incoming later.
