My reply to the CB threads

Here is my general reply to the "desperate for a cornerback posts that litter this board".

Oh God not another whinny gotta get a cb post. Give it a freaking rest. What is the point? Every day 10 people post we gotta get a CB NOW NOW NOW NOW.

What do you think is going to happen? Parcells and Ireland will look here, stop playing Madden (because obviously they have no jobs and don't do anything all day) and go blow our cap on a free agent that they havn't watched any tape on (they play Madden and eat doritos all day remember).

Get a CLUE - the season doesn't start for another 4 months and we got the best front office running this team. They have spent a hell of alot more time thinking and planning about the makeup of this team than any poster on here. They have a plan, a backup plan, a backup backup plan, and then a fallback plan. Stop acting like a two year old that sees all the candy dissapearing and throws a temper tantrum and spend that enegry trying to figure out what these guys are doing. Becasue they know what they are doing. Really.

Or maybe they have a wildcat formation for the defense where we only need 2 safeties and 1 cb and everyone else is pass rush.

I couldnt have said it better myself. Last I checked, today is March 7th, not September 7th. We're not playing a game tomorrow. The Trifecta will add a CB or two.
 
I think you should keep in context who is posting these threads and posts. Most knowledgable fans of the game know that the CB situation will be addressed to the satisfaction of a front office that is without a doubt, the best at building a team. Whether they read a post or share that they fear a lack of talent in a position, the casual fans go into a frenzy that spreads like a cheap whore for a pint of Ripple and a Marlboro.
 
But Ted, we visited with Eric Green (a CB), and are known to be one of the teams negotiating with Bryant McFadden (a CB). The FO is clearly working on it! Its not like Tony has come out and said, "we will not be adding a CB, we're content with what we have." That would be totally different, and I too would be complaining. But a rational fan should see that we're evaluating all options on the FA market in hopes of making the smartest football and economic decision.

Exactly. This front office has a plan in place. I am not the least bit worried that when the season starts, our secondary will be greatly improved.
 
will we need to say cb cb cb because we let t.o. sign with the bills just like we let randy and wes welker sign with new england.well we will be lucky now to win 7 game next year.
 
Because TO made the Cowboys (who have a far better overall roster than Buffalo) unstoppable! Please.

If you don't like the "We need a CB" threads, may I suggest just ignoring them, like I do with "trade John Beck" and "Ronnie Brown isn't really any good" threads that I see pollute the MB.
 
Seems to me like you just started another we need a cb thread. Nice job!!!!!

Let me get this straight, you applaud the FO for doing their job by examining tape... Discussing and analyzing but you won't allow your fellow Fans the ability to do the same?

Actually I get tired of the 'Tell people what they can and cannot post' threads... I don't see one thing wrong with a fan (casual or obsessive) who pays good money to support a team he loves expressing his opinion on a board dedicated to exactly that... EXPRESSING OPINIONS. Whether you or I agree or not is irrelevant and if the mere discussion of a topic is what annoys you, then move on to the next one.

Most of the 'Get CB now threads' in my experience are people who suggest a name they think we should take a look into... and then getting absolutely lambasted by a general populace for having the gall to even mention the possibility when all they are doing is... By your own admission... Exactly the same thing as the FO.

The right to have opinions exactly like your right to disagree with them... are things that should be protected not assailed.
