personally i believe that qb, center, defensive tackle, and kicker could all be weaknesses for the dolphins. The positions that I am really worried about are quarterback and center. Mckinney needs to step it up this year. He has sucked every year he has been here. Hopefully he improves or else we should start Wade Smith at center. Also quarterback is also a main concern. AJ Feeley and Ferotte do not look like great quarterbacks so far in camp. Unless AJ Feeley improves we need to look at that position next year. Defensive tackle is a concern for me since we do not have a lot of depth at that position. Chester is coming back from a serious injury so we cant rely on him... Lastly Mare needs to step it up this season. Im pretty sure he is the highest paid kicker. He has not been at that elite level for years. His kicking accuracy has gone done the past few years. If he does not improve then we need to get a kicker who is cap friendly and can be relied on at the end of a game.
On a more positive note, we are much better than last year. We do not need a premier quarterback for our team to be good. We have 2 of the best runningbacks in the league. It is quite possible that we rely on ronnie and ricky for most of the game. Also this offensive line is MUCH better than the offensive line we have had in the past years. I would even say that it is much better than in 2002 when ricky williams ran for 1800 yards. From what I have seen so far I am impressed on how our line has improved as a unit. I still dont see much of a difference with Mckinney though. Carey will definately be a great left tackle. He looks like the best offensive linemen on the field(Hadnot also looks great).
Our defense looks unbelievable. The depth we have at defensive end will help us keep guys fresh. In the linebacker position ANY of the young guys (Eddie, Crowder,Pope,Moore) could start!!! We may have to play a lot of 3-4 defense to try and get these guys on the field. Our defense will definately be at the top of the league. Anyways thank you for reading this.
