Am I dreaming of Christmas in April, or what?

Are those trades really that far-fetched, though? We're already talking with the Vikings. As for the Eagles, they have a boatload of picks at the moment (13 to be exact). Obviously 13 rookies are not going to make their roster. Therefore they're almost certainly going to trade up at least once. Even if they made the aforementioned trade, they'd still have #7 and #77 on the first day of the draft (i.e., a top ten pick and a mid third-rounder). At #7 they'd be able to land a rookie who would probably make a significant difference this year. Mike Williams, Caddy Williams, and Cedric Benson are top ten players that the Eagles would love to have on their roster. One of the three players is probably going to fall to #7.

If Aaron Rodgers is passed up by the Bucs, which is a strong possibility considering the fact that they already have Griese and Simms and are reportedly leaning towards taking Caddy Williams, he COULD fall to #18. Take a look at the teams that are slated to draft after the Bucs, and who their starting QBs are:

#06 - Titans - McNair
#07 - Eagles - McNabb (Assuming we trade out of #2 and then trade out of #7 with the Eagles)
#08 - Cardinals - Warner
#09 - Redskins - Brunell (and Ramsey)
#10 - Lions - Harrington (and Garcia)
#11 - Cowboys - Bledsoe (and Henson)
#12 - Chargers - Brees (and Rivers)
#13 - Texans - Carr
#14 - Panthers - Delhomme
#15 - Chiefs - Green
#16 - Saints - Brooks
#17 - Bengals - Palmer

Of the above teams, I can see the Cardinals or Saints choosing Rodgers (And maybe the Redskins, but I doubt it). THAT'S IT! In fact, I can see Rodgers falling into the mid-20s if the Bucs pass on him. At first glance it looks absolutely crazy, but it's a REAL possibility.

After seeing the Raiders trade Philip Buchanon for a second and third-round pick, I strongly believe we are going to get a second-round pick for Surtain. I think the Chiefs may even throw in their fifth-round pick. They're a team that is designed to win now, and nobody in this year's draft can have as much of an impact on their secondary this year as Patrick Surtain can. They need Surtain if they plan on defending Moss this year. They need to defend Moss if they plan on making any noise this year. I'm very confident we're going to pull off the trade with the Chiefs.

Jeff Zgonina for a sixth-round pick? Sounds like a fair trade if you're looking for a solid veteran DT like the Rams are.

BTW, Dr. Z doesn't have Matt Jones in the first-round of his mock draft. So don't bother telling me that Matt Jones definitely won't fall to #31. It could happen. Oh, and let's not forget what Saban once said about him.

Yeah, they are far fetched. I don't think i have ever seen a team pull that many trades on draft day.

I'm only talking about making three trades (Four if you count the Zgonina trade). I've seen plenty of teams trade down twice in the first-round before. Hell, JJ pulled off three or four trades nearly every draft with us.
