This is my revised offseason plan. includes cuts, resign, paycuts, freeagents and the draft.

CUTS:
1.jeno james-makes to much money and not enough plays
2.kevin carter- this is a hard one he is a solid player but with his cap # and roth playing better it might be time to let him go unless he takes a paycut.
3.bennie anderson-same as james
4.seth mckinney-same as james
5.joey harrington- he cant be cut fast enough, maybe we can get a 7th?

RESIGN:
1.wes welker
2.y.bell
3.sammy morris
4.david bowens
5.kevin vickerson
6.tillman
7.lemon
8.barnes
9.donnie jones
10.tony fonoti

PAYCUTS:
1.mare- he needs one but we might have to say bye bye to mare

FREE AGENTS:
1.adlius thomas-olb
2.kris dielman-og
3.leonard davis-lt

DRAFT:
1ST-alan branch-DT-michigan 6'6 330- i would love to have a playmaker like ginn or jarrett here but the fact is we dont have a beast in the middle and there is not many in free agency so unless we can get traylor to play another year branch might be our man, if he is there

2ND-lawrence timmions- OLB- fsu 6'3 230- the guy is a flat out playmaker on defense and would fit in great in capers system, he will probably go alot higher but it would be a steal if we could get him here

3RD-tony ugoh-OT-arkansas-6'5 315- has all the tools to be a starter but needs work, could be a good project for houck

4TH-lorenzo booker- rb- fsu- 5'11 190- most people will hate this pick but the fact is we need a scat back/3rd down back and we cant depend on ricky so we have to move on, booker is a game breaker and can be deadly on screen passes and draws, also could relieve welker on kick off returns and spell ronnie.

6TH-chris leak- qb- florida- 6'0 207- he is short but cameron did a good job with brees and we need a good project qb, he will play better in a pro style offense and if he dont work out its just a 6th round pick, i think he can be a decent back up in the nfl

7TH-dan moses-OC- west va- 6'4 290- why people have him ranked so low is beyond me but most sites have him late rounds or undrafted? if we can get him in the 7th it would be a steal imo.

that would make our roster look like this.

Good overall but if we dont get Asante Samuel in FA, drafting Leon Hall would be a must in my mind, the CB duo of Will Allen and daniels would scare the **** out of me if i were an opposing teams WR's.

i dont think our corners are that bad, there not surtain and madison but there good players.

Solid.. but I dont see a need for a 3rd down back or a scat back when we have a perfectly all around back like Ronnie. I agree that we should get an upgrade over Sammie Morris, but I dont think its a major need.

Bracnh is not a 3-4 DT donest have the power or the STRENGHT. M Wright comes back he is the man. He needs a coach that loves ppl and CC is that man for him. (Why does our team consist of so many CC's and Wrights loll) I would rather see, Anderson/Adams/Nelson/Landry/ or even a WR there. Hall is NOT that good or worth top 10!

I would make it JT, Wright, R. Wright and Roth on our Front 4. Then Evans back up to WRight and a Vet FA as a NT as well if we lose all 3 of our big men even tho Wilkinson does Half the job Traylor does. Also Thomas is nice but would want LAVar type money from last year and Not sure if he is worth it as he might be a Contract man like Mare, gets the big money n drops off in performance. I rather go with a Briggs in taht situation, move CC to SOLB and draft an SOLB so when Thomas retires, CC goes to MLB Briggs at WOLB and the rookie at SOLB. Also we need 1 more Key CB on our roster to be the number 2 guy.

Dan MOzes in the 7th hahaha
No way! He will go in the 2nd if not the 3rd round easy...
If he is still around in the 2nd id get him
Cam said he wanted to build from the inside out so mabye DT or OLB in the 1st then Center in the 2nd...If we trade up to get JOe Thomas im not gonna be happy...

I think your reasoning for taking branch is good. but Im with you on taking a playmaker. lets give Cam another offensive weapon to play with. Capers will be fine with our Defense I think.

I hope everybody realizes that Leonard Davis will be a Guard if he signs here. The dude is not athletic enough to play LT (see his former teammate and current phin LJ Shelton)

oh yeah, Timmons is a first round, possibly top 10, pick. Ugoh is a late first early 2nd, and Mozes can go anywhere between late 2nd and early 4th.

While you're at it, can you give me next weeks powerball numbers?

Alan Branch doesn't have power or strength? That is totally incorrect. Manny Wright could only wish he was as strong and powerful as Branch. Controlling the interior of the line and swallowing double teams is Alan's forte, and he could play in either a 4-3 or 3-4.
It's a moot point in regards to the Dolphins anyway. If his workouts are anywhere close to decent or better he is very likely top 5 pick in the draft.

No mention of Vonnie Holliday. He was our 2nd best DL last year after JT, and I hope we are able to resign him.
Very good effort on the rest of your writeup.

I like everybody you cut and re-signed but I disagree with your FA and draft. Plus, I think D-Mac should not get resigned.

If we only give big money to one player in FA(which we might not even be able to do {sigh}) this offseason it should definitely be Nate Clements. The OL, as terrible as they began, showed significant progression as the season went along. The secondary, on the other hand, showed significant regression.

Terdell Sands is a 6-7 335 lbs 27 year old DT who is an UFA out of Oakland. He would more than likely come cheap because he was 2nd string.

Roman Oben is an UFA OT out of San Diego. He's 34 but he's played for Cameron and Houck and will probably be less expensive than McIntosh.

Na'il Diggs is a 28 year old OLB out of Carolina who may not be expensive because of the injury prone seasons he had in Green Bay and the 61 total tackles he registered last year. Diggs would still be an upgrade over Spragan who only registered 50 tackles in a Dolphin uniform. Though 11 tackles may not seem like such a difference, Diggs had a bad year perhaps the worst of his career, Spragan had a regular year.(Note: I would love Adelius Thomas but not only would he want big money, the odds are in favor of Baltimore keeping their star OLB.)

Draft
Round 1- Ted Ginn Jr
Round 2- OT
Round 3- OLB
Round 4- QB
Round 5- C
Round 6- G
Round 7- DT

Edit: I think Joey Harrington played well enough to aquire a 3rd in a trade but we can atleast get a 5th back for the guy.
