The Phils had a 3-2 lead in the 8th and their ace (Myers) gives up a game tying homer to Renteria of the Braves. Then Renteria comes up in the 10th and hits a two run homer to win it for Atlanta, 5-3.

The Phils, as usual, stranded numerous runners in scoring position. Nothing ever changes. :boohoo:

I feel your pain.

But I love it everytime Edgar comes up huge!!! I must admit.

It's a long year you guys will be ok

Braves bullpen did a good job today. That's a big sign for them. If the pen holds up throughout the year they should be a really good team.

even though it's only one game I have been saying all winter that the Phillies are fools' gold. They might compete for a playoff spot, but that's because the NL is probably worst than it was last year (even the Mets look shaky with their rotation).

And as I said in another thread, I'm saying this as a guy that lives in the Philly market, and sees the team all the time. Aside from Utley and Howard (and probably Hammels) it's not a great team by any means.

Hey look at it like this bro, at least your not a Nationals fan!

I was at the game today, and it was a heartbreaker....runners one 2nd and 3rd with no out with the heart of the order up and you get 0 runs....come on you have to do better then that

One thing you have to like about the game is how well Brett Myers pitched, and Tom Gordon and Matt Smith from the bullpen also. The hitters really didn't come through today, leaving too many men on base and not taking advantage of some key situations I.E the imploding Braves bullpen when Gonzalez came out and sucked and Wickman got in trouble.

Pitch like that all season, hitting will come around, and you have yourself the NL East champions.

Again stupid phils blow it. 2-0 and Gordon gives up a two run shot. And then of course madson comes in and gives up the game winner. :fire:

Couldnt happen to a team i hate more...unless it was the braves.

Than again Ill be happy when the phils are 10 back in June chasing NYM and probably ATL too.
