This is the time of year when everyone is excited about their team and have high expectations. A fresh start and new additions to a team make this understandable. It is also the time of year when fans forget about the real flaws and issues their team has. Well my friends I have not forgotten and my season prediction is one not many fans will like or agree with but its the way I see it. I am predicting another rough season and looking down the schedule I see a record in the 5-11 to 6-10 range. Yes we may have gotten better on paper but I believe there are many other issues with this team that will be exposed as we totally derail this season. I am not sure what this would mean for the future of the team and hopefully I am wrong but its just the way I see this season playing out. Just wanted to post my view.

your view has no facts or thoughts to back it up other than doom and gloom. have a nice day jets fan!

the bills are lookin for some new fans

HC and QB are holding this team back. Probably HC even moreso than QB.

Things could happen to derail the season, or those things could not happen. The pendulum swings both ways. Some of us feel it may go bad and some may feel it may go well, but none of us really know. One thing is for sure though... being a pessimist is the easy way out - you're either right or you're pleasantly surprised. Win-win.

Thanks captain s**t in my cornflakes. Now I guess I don't even need to watch the season at all after all the insightful knowledge you have blessed us with.

That's a lot of doom and gloom for a post with no facts to support it. Barring injuries, this team is way too good on D to only win 5.

I understand your fear to be let down, as we all have been the past couple of seasons. I don't expect to go 13-3 or something like I used to, but I wouldn't push 10-6 and a wildcard berth away. We will still be competitive against any team we play, the difference will be if a guy like Bush or Henne can create or make the 1 play that wins those close ones. Maybe a little electricity by Gates/Bush can be that 1 TD or big play difference in what have been close losses these past couple seasons. No need to doom and gloom, just be realistic.

I hate doom and gloom just as much as the next guy, but this team has been mediocre for over a decade. We are not a championship team, let alone a consistent playoff team. So bash all the "doom and gloomers" all you want, but recent history is on their side.

--That being said, Go Phins!!

I have been a fan of the dolphins since 1970 and I too have my doubts about the upcoming season. The owner has a coach that he tried to replace, the coach has a QB that he tried to replace. Right there you have conflict. The owner says he doesn't want the usual 3 yards and a cloud of dust type of football yet the coach says that is exactly how he thinks and sees no need to change that philosophy. The front office tells everyone that there will be competition at QB and than picks up 2 QBs who are even worse than Henne. The front office does add some spped via free agency and the draft, but the coach has stated that he will use the slowest receiver (Bess) as the primary punt returner. I think the coach is too conservative and the QB too inconsistent for the Dolphins to achieve greatness. I predict that we will see more mediocrity.

How do you figure?

2004 - 2nd PD, 8 TD
2006 - 4th TD, 5 SD

Also, you do understand, that even a great defense gets tired when an offense doesnt score points and cant move the ball, dont you?
