So far I've got this:

Resign/Restructure:

Ronnie Brown- Our offense is not scary without this man at all.

Fasano

David Martin- He did really good before he got injured in the new system, reminds me of a Jermichael Finley, better than haynos.

JT- He will retire a fin after one more year of service.

Davone Bess- He is money, pure money, when we need a catch. He stays without a doubt.

Torbor- He did pretty dam good filling in, surprised at how much of a difference one year made. Im all for trying to restructure first, and if he doesn't want to, cut ayodele.

Cut-
Ayodele
Joey Porter- your time is DONE
Lex Hilliard- not really that good
Kory Sheets- sorry, i like cobb alot even coming off an injury.
Joey Haynos

hmm more names will come to mind by the time that im done

Free Agency- Thomas Howard- Beast, I would put him in the ILB spot over torbor and next to crowder for now.

More research needed for another pickup

Draft- IF Dez Bryant or Mcclain is not there

CJ Spiller- Deadly returner, will take over ricky's role in the wildcat, big play maker that our offense desperately needs

2nd round- OLB. Not sure who yet, but with Howard and crowder in the middle, wake and jt on the edges, we need another young bull here to be ready to fill in and eventually take over for JT.

3rd- Jimmy Graham TE- huge target, we need a play making tightend

4th- NT

6th- CB, and ILB

7ths- OT, FS

once again, it's very early so for now this is what i thinking the fins will do. This is most likely going to change for the better (names instead of positions) but that's the fun part of the offseason, you get to study!!

why would we resign Ronnie Brown when he's still under contract with us for one more year?

unless we're drafting a RB, which might very well happen, i don't see us cutting both Hilliard and Sheets. Brown has a tendency of getting hurt, Ricky is 32 and Cobbs is coming off a torn ACL. relying on those three to carry us throught the whole year is a risk.

I read Ricky wants to ENJOY his last season... mean's he probably will be carrying less than 10 times in every game for sure. I agree with the poster above me, we keep at least one of those 2 guys.

I much more in favor of taking Spiller-not because he can return the ball, not because he runs the WC, but because he is a great running back with a winner, hungry, hard working metality and physical gifts. Ginn has the gifts not the mentality. I would love McClain, Dez, Spiller in the 1st. Graham or Spikes to kick inside next to Crowder. Have Howard play the Strong OLB. Sign A. Bryant or A. Rolle. Pitta in the 3rd. Taylor Price in the 4th. Vince Oghobaase in the 6th.

and Howard would suck even more at ILB, why do people want this guy? He's done nothing except he can cover, wow, that will really help when teams are running down our throats!!!

at least Howard is semi-athletic. Torbor is a goon.

Who we need is a Terrell Suggs type player. Sean Weatherspoon may be able to fit this role.

I agree, but he can only cover, he can't support the run well. So we get better coverage but now we're worse against the run. Makes little sense to me.

A T.Suggs modeled player would be incredible and fill a need not create another one some seem to want.

Ehhh when Crowder was in we were fine against the run. We then sucked against coverage. If we could combine Crowder and Howard into one player, that would be an All-Pro LB.

Cut Torber! Seriously when he was trying to cover Heath Miller in the final game it looked like he had 2 broken ankle's and 2 blown out ACL's!

Ronnie will not be back and neither will Martin.

1.) I don't think our offense was "scary" with Ronnie (unless the OP meant scary to Dofans). Ronnie is less explosive than Ricky at age 32. Sure, Ronnie runs the wildcat wonderfully but whatever, we need to move on from that now that we have a good QB and IF we could get a real WR1.

2.) Right now, my understanding is that without a new CBA, Ronnie is under contract if he doesn't choose to opt out. If he doesn't opt out, we have to pay him a pretty big amount (I think like $8m or so) for just 2010 and then we'll lose him in 2011 if we don't sign him long term.

If that's the case, then I think we should be hoping like crazy that he opts out.

B/c if he opts out, we (I believe) can still tender him and hope to get compensation from another team if they sign him away form us. Basically, we'd tender him a 2nd rounder and hope a RB-needy team like DET, CLE, HOU, etc. is willing to give up their 2nd rounder to sign him away from us.

If he really doesn't opt out, fine, then we pay him and have a good (but not great) RB for one more year. Of course, we have to hope he stays healthy for 16 games.

But no matter what, I don't think we sign Ronnie to the max long term deal he wants b/c he's too injury prone and approaching 30.

That's how I see it with Ronnie.
