I will go position by position and these are just my opinions no better or worse than anyone elses.

Qb- This position stays a mess and we should cut bait with all except last year's draft pick Beck. Give Beck every chance to show he can be the starter and bring in a vet in case he falters. Draft another Qb in round three or lower to develop in case Beck is not the answer. We never have had a backup plan so why not start now. Sign Grossman as the vet, still a relatively young guy with some big game experience, same age as Beck but with alot more experience. Possible draft Flacco or Booty.

RB- The one position we should be good at unless Brown's injury has too much affect on him. A combo of him, williams and Lo booker should be solid.
Booker showed last year that Cameron was an idiot as far as using players because it took him so long to use him. We basically have no need to add here and Chatman might also stick.

FB-A position that I still think we have a void at. Mauia looked no better than barnes. I would like to sign Brad Hoover a solid blocker and can contribute in other ways unlike mauia.

WR-Ouch Basically all we have is Ginn and Hagan who should have been number threes last year. Cut booker he is decent but too pricey. Sign Bryant johnson and Ernest Wilford as big targets. Draft another receiver in the mid rounds to complement what we have. Also Devery henderson is worth a look.

TE-wow another position of pain. Cut David martin's non blocking *** now. He is just an overweight receiver that cannot block. keep Peele because we need a TE, draft another TE early and sign Ben Troupe as a free agent.

OL-A position we need to focus on because we do lack talent here. Rex hadnot is decent but there are better options that will cost no more than him. Sign Justin Smiley and Floyd Womack as guards. Cut Liewinksi. Keep Carey and Shelton. look at aquiring Jeff Faine. As for Alabi and Toledo I think they both suck but lets look at them this offseason and see if they can play.
Look at possibly signing Jordan Gross from Carolina or backup options George Foster or Max starks. Draft a possible starter at LT or guard. Give Wilson a chance to show what he can do.

Dl-We need Dt's bad so look at randy Starks, tommy Kelly or Ryan sims to go low budget. Solai looked sad last year made me want Wright back. Mike Rucker would be a great addition to our dline. Matt Roth, Rod Wright, Holliday,Chase Page and Quinton Moses are keepers. Bryant looks worth a look and hopefully Solai will improve but I dont see him as starter. there is some up and coming promise here.

LB- Taylor, Porter, Crowder and Thomas are all keepers. Keep Spragen if possible and Pope is a keeper. See if Miles or washington can develop bring in
Kawicka Mitchell and Chaun Thompson plus draft a guy mid draft to develop.

CB-Some talent but no depth.
Keep Allen, Goodman and Danials. Lehan sucks please let him be. Drayton florence would be a great pick up and look at Jason webster.

S-hmm umm well it all depends on health. probably wont be much to look at. Bell see if he can play still. Keep Hill, we have Allen and not much else. Chris Crocker might be worth a look. sign Gibril Wilson or hamlin if we can but I dount we can make a move here.Draft another safety.

i talked about no trades or who we will draft because thats too much speculating but I think we can be a solid team if we just are smarter in our personel decisions. Blast away.

I pretty much agree with what you've outlined although I would prefer to fill the majority of holes with draftees and the rest with veterans like those in your examples.

Looks allright. BUT, NOOOOOOOOOO Grossman!!! There will be a veteran cut in June camps. Lets wait and see whats available?

We need a guy in place now. Grossman is the same age as Beck so if you dont think he can improve , why should we believe that Beck can improve.
Grossman is not all world but he is a good pickup, much better than bringing Green back.

Y are u saying Mauia looked no better than barnes, Mauia looked pretty good to me ALOT better Acually

Well thats your opinion but we need a real fullback. one that can actually contribute maybe even catch a pass or two if need be.

i am sure he is willing to catch a Pass

he is willing but 2 catches for 5 yards show we are not willing to throw it too him much, not to mention the whole one yard per carry average. i wish we had got deon Anderson instead. maiua is a big guy but his blocking has been nothing special.

with cam notr calling the plays and being out i think we can expect a lot better year from our offense what a goof wanny had

didn't the guy have a cast on his hand this season?:err: I wouldn't have thrown it to him either with a cast on his hand!

Well maybe we should have got a fullback without a cast so he could lol.
Regardless Fb is a position that we can improve.

Grossman has had a few years of actual NFL experience to prove he has poor decision-making skills. Being the same age as Beck has nothing to do with his ability.
I'd rather have Green in there dumping off because he is scared to get hit than Grossman.

So if beck is not ready, then u start Green who of course will be done after one hit so who else do you sign under this scenario or do we need another number one pick. i want a backup that can actually backup if need be, not just a seat filler that can no longer play in the nfl.

Point taken... but there will be plenty of others vets out there that can do that. Hell, I think Bledsoe would be a better choice than Grossman.
