First of all..

As much as I hate to admit it I agree with Prisco........

If Ryan is worth the #3 pick to the falcons then why would he be worth the #1???

If this was last year and Brohm was there instead at #9 we would have been screaming for him instead of Brady!! Now, no one is even mentioning him!!!

LT's don't grow on trees, they seem to be (next to QB) the hardest to find from the athletes coming out of college and most of the time you do not find a diamond in the rough here. Name one!! Busts....yeah you can name a few, but most often than not a high pick on a lineman is serviceable at worst, not Ryan Leaf, heath shuler.........etc. bad!!

I love C long.................BUT I can't see how with roster we would do anything other than JAKE LONG here.

I know this draft is VERY deep in OT's this year....great lets get the BEST one and another to develope?!?!?

Its easier to find the diamond in the rough with a DE/OLB it is in this draft than an OT, lets go get JAKE!!!

I just had to vent, because I'm tired of the M Ryan talk, I watched him this year many times (this was his good year) and he is NOT a franchise QB

My two cents...........

Remember............We got Jason Taylor in the 3rd round and Zach in the 5th !!!!

We got Richmond Webb and Sims in the 1ST and 2ND!!!!:hi5:

First off, this probably belongs in the DRAFT FORUM

Second, the fact that Peter Pricko suggests we take Jake Long, has me saying ABSOLUTELY NO TO JAKE LONG..

Third, NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER agree with Peter Pricko.

Actually, if that is the way Parsnips sees being the best way, than so-be-it. Jake Long it is....even though I think he will play RT in the pros

I think we should take Chris Long and then get an OT at 32...you won't get a Chris Long in round 2

Ozzy rules!!

anyone considered that Inside linebacker might be more pressing a need right now than OLB/DE????????????????? Unless JT is traded Jake is our pick!!!!!!!

Matt Ryan is this year's Brady Quinn....don't buy all the hype. I think by the time the draft comes around Ryan will fall down to the Bear's picking at #14. He is pretty average at best. Jake Long or Chris Long are the only guys we should be thinking about unless we trade down.

Jake Long is soooo overrated its not even funny.

What irks me is that people want us to draft him and have never really watched him play. He's a good tackle prospect.....He's not the next Joe Thomas. He's not worth a top 5 pick just because he's HUGE.

The guy CAN NOT handle speed rushers to save his life and you want to draft him No.1.

If Jake Long is the No.1 pick in the draft, I am done with the Dolphins. I am not interested in having the No.1 pick again in 2 years.

Your right those 20 sacks he gave up ..... no 2 sacks over 4 years is a strong indicator that he can't handle speed rushers. That doesn't mean squat though because he had M.Vick playing QB who just out ran these speed rushers that blew by J.Long.... no Henne played QB, you know the classic pocket passer who doesn't move very well. Yeah J.Long's not even top 5 material.
Nice post, makes you look real smart. Having an opinion on a guy is one thing making those statements are another. Have fun cheering on the Lions.

If thats the kind of Fin fan you are,Then be gone now! You must not have seen him play very much yourself because HE DOMINATED everybody in front of him.:sidelol:

Everyone is allowed their own opinions, that is what the website is for. even if I do disagree with it, that doesn't mean I'll ask him to leave.

If only someone would want this pick and we could actually trade down....oh i'm dreaming again...

it comes down to this a team can live without a quite yet very solid olb-which is what i think chris long will be, (ghoston will prolly get more recognition in his career because his speed will warent more sacks and stats) but jake is a great prospect, idk if he is a joe thomas, but chris long is no dwight freeny, if u wanna compare the prospects to the best, then y cant it work both ways. they only sack that j long gave up in his senior year was to another top 5 pick and what people dont see is that for the rest of the game jake kept vernon under raps. as we saw in fa this offseason (pace) you can get a pass rushing lb a lot easier than a franchise lt. somepeople dont think that long can play a nfl caliber lt, but i disagree, he played at a major collage, vs major competition and he will realy help our line (move carey back to rt, his perfered postiion) that way we can thurowly evaluate beck under a good line and if it doesnt work out then we put mcown in and take advantage of ronnie and lobo gaining yards like mad being jake, justin, vernon, satele, and a player to be named later lol. i no this woul be a hard decision if there was a clear cut overall adn we are contemplating bpa compared to need, but i just do not want to take the gamble of having godsel and sam baker taken in the first and us not having a solid t in the first 2 rounds. i think go jake and that frees up us to go bpa to a certain extent in the next few rounds becuase of our long range of needs

Ryan isnt worth the #3 pick. He is only going to be picked that high not because of talent but by default because he is the best QB in a not so talented QB class... Alex Smith all over again..

If this was a deep talented QB class like 2004 he wouldnt be drafted till AT LEAST the 2nd round after Manning, Rivers, Ben, even Losman. The only QB he would have gone before was Luke McCown, who was drafted in the 4th. He is only going to get drafted that high by default, not because of talent

Blah blah blah.
