Somewhere at the middle of the season I thought Wr was the biggest problem, but honestly now i do not think it is as bad as we make it. First off we lost a very strong running game with Ronnie, ricky, and cobbs, but somehow ricky and lex still made it ok. In a way Ronnie getting injured was good cause it force us to go to a more traditional offense. It also made Henne throw it more and next year with ronnie most likely coming back it think we can find a happy medium. As far as the wildcat we should keep it but we honestly need to work on traditional, and 2 minute offense. Does it not drive anyone else insane when paul take so long to pick a play and our players take forever to get to the line. Also Paul and Dan need work on making their playbook not so predictable. I think I knew 70% of what the we were going to do and who will henne's go to guy would be and for me to do that is just sad.

Ginn is the problem, not our Wr core.

Ginn can be a very good player. I not going to say he just nees to fix this and that an he will be fine because he needs to work on everything, but the two things he needs to address is catching and not being so scared to get in the middle of field and get hit. I will also add that he needs to fix his attitude and take his job seriously and stop the having fun bull ****. It just drive me insane when i see inteviews with him i fill like he does not care about being a fin or football at all. The first are facts the other one is a opinion but i think the attitude is biggest really. Ginn needs to have a very producive off season if we want to expect anything good from him other then when we vs the jets. if i was tony i would bring ginn in and tell him grow some balls and work you *** off this off season or get out. Only thing we need to do for wr is the pick up the best possible out of FA or trade. And another thing i do not think te is a problem as many way believe AF i think had a bad season.

Don't pull the pug on the current Henne and company.

This was basically Henne's first year and i see good chem. from bess and hartline. I dont know if Greg's acl injury was effecting him this year but his play seem somewhat limited and did not seem to get open much, but Greg caught it everytime.

Defense is our biggest problem.

I say our whole draft should be for the defensive side of the ball. There are a lot of great Defensive players in the draft this year and we seriously need it. Make the first pick a NT, ILB, or FS. Hell if we there are good defensive players in the FA get them too. If paul keep this 3-4 defense a BAD *** NT is needed that is young. Secondly, our Ilb is so sad. Crowder is good, but he is no starter. FS is worst of three and i hate Wilson, but if we find studs at the other two positions our defense would be what we need it to be to work. I do not care what defense you run your ilb should be great leader. When we had Zach healthy we had one of the top ten defense. For all that do not think our defense in general is a bigger problem the our wr's just take a look at the colts game. Manning only had the ball for 15 mins and beat us that saids it all.

I have to agree. Looking back on the season, we're not exactly struggling to score points. I would love to have more offensive firepower, but the defense let us down a lot.

Considering the plan this regime originally had, of building from the inside out, I don't understand why the center of our defense now seems so lacking. I wonder what the guys upstairs are thinking sometimes.

Great post. I agree with your first statement that the WR can be addressed in free agency. However, I also think if there is a stud projected at #44 we should take that WR . For example if can get Hampton NT in FA, then I would be for drafting a WR like Dez, or Lafell, or Alexander even at #12. That would cover our two needs and the rest can be focused on LB, DE, DB.
Or if we get Boldin or Marshall or TO or Miles Austin, then we can get a stud ILB or NT in the first and cover those two spots that way.
But in general I agree that the majority of the draft should be defense.
Also, I believe that we need to take stab at TE in the fourth. Just not John nalbone from Shangrola University, Providence, RI.

What this coaching staff and including myself... sadly believe that our linebackers would have a great pass rush because JT was suppose to be limited with roth, but Matt f***ed that up and we where force to have JT start.

I also thought JP would have good season.. haha Wrong. I did not thought he would be as good as last year, but i also did not think he would have number of pointless tackles and sacks because our execution almost always sucked afterwords. i do not know if it is do to injury or that cutting him is the right thing, but if we do keep him one thing is for sure he should not get most of the play counts and have a smaller pay if not let him go.

I think i d line is ok, but due to Jason F and paul s. being a good back up but not enough to have a 3-4 defense is what is hurting us there. I also would say signing JF for another year would not be bad as long as he is not a every down player just like JT and JP should be.

even though it took a while for the wr core to get on the same page they did ok, minus ginn. our defense has so many holes in it, its not even funny our lb's did not have too many sacks this year it mostly came from the d line position. we need crazy help on our front 7 they are way to old and we only have 1 playmaker there and he only plays 5 snaps a game we need more explosiveness from our front 7 which i think we will get in the draft, which is very deep at almost every position we need help at. our offense looks promising we do need another rb in case sheets is not the guy, because ricky and ronnie cannot carry the load for the season, that has been proven, in case ronnie goes down again we need an rb that could carry the load, ricky did okay, but he could not finish games, and we also need a te to stretch the middle of the field, i hope nalbone becomes that guy

Yea I wonder what really happened with Roth. That whole plan of Roth being there for the run and JT to pass rush seemed to crumble since we didn't have anyone to fill that run-stopper role on the strong side. I really want to do something about the FS position, as you can see by my sig. Realistically speaking, I think LB is top priority. I also hope we can somehow get our hands on Brian Price out of UCLA. He seems to be strong enough to man down the nose in a 3-4.

Also as for Crowder do not fool yourself after seeing how we were after he suffered a injury. We need someone better then him and can lead if we expect a better d.
