My thoughts after analyzing offense (I recorded the game)

Saw sheets get tackled by a lineman on an out play, just looked average to me. I thought Odrick looked good in pass rush though, not much talk about him here on the site but I like him.

yeah, he smacked Ryan in endzone after he got rid of it and then another play was the classic club move that was excellent! Reggie White move.

Most people "in the know " know its not a "pass only" league. If you aren't hung up on the running game than you aren't hung up on winning ...
**** the boring *** running game. we haven't won **** when we've had a running game. tell me how much has the running game actually helped recent superbowl winners? when the chips are down you better be able to pass.

We're in huge trouble all year if our o line plays anything remotely like this in the regular season. The right side of the line is in shambles, we have a completely unproven commodity at C, and Incognito is no pro bowler at LG. I'm very worried.
Ideally, I think our best o line is:
LT - Long
LG - Carey
C - Pouncey
RG - Incognito
RT - Murtha

Look, I will give Pouncey a pass as he had little practice and is a rookie playing in his first game but no way did he get to " the second " level on any basis at all. The running plays were being stuffed by Atlanta COMPLETELY attacking our Right side and easily pushing Columbo and Carey into the middle and tackling the runner from the side or back. I counted one time Pouncey made it to the " second level " and thats only because Atlanta had no one head to head on him. On that same play, same result. Atlanta attacked our right side of the Oline and shoved Columbo and Carey into the middle like shopping carts, right into our runner. As a rookie Pouncey survived the game. As a good NFL lineman, especially center, Pouncey has a looooooooong way to go and he is not even close to the talent his brother is at this present time , not close, day and night not close.

Good call. Not sure what game people were watching who praised him. The Pouncey pick will go down as another wasted opportunity when there were QBs, RBs, several O lineman, and WRs available....all positions of need. The next and hopefully best regime (Cowher, Gruden, Fisher) will have some talent to work with but not nearly enough. It's going to be at least a couple of years before they can compete.
