My thoughts on last nights game

Last night was the one opportunity I get to see the Fins each year live. I thought the team looked terrible. Ricky Williams did not do anything. The defense played ok. The recievers, however, played the best because Ray Lucas made tons of terrible throws and they dove all over the place to catch them, espicially Chris Chambers. Overall, I thought the team looked unmotivated last night and let the game slip right past them. Yes, Chambers was robbed of a touchdown by the refs, but the Dolphins had many other chances to score. Ricky Williams fumbled on the two yard line. We had a short field to work with for most of the game, and couldn't do much. We punted on the 36 yard line, where we could have kicked a 53 yard field goal.

There is something that really seperates Lucas from Fiedler. Fiedler is more accurate, and he doesn't throw the ball at the ground on every play. Also, Lucas sucks in the clutch. He couldn't do anything inside the two minute warning. This is the time where Fiedler shines, last year he lead the league in fourth quarter comebacks. Even with the crappy refs, we still had many chances to take the lead last night and blew them.
 
That fumble was a bs call. Even with that fat dorks leg in the way you could still see his hand partially on the ball with his knee down. His knee hit the ground at the same time he got leveled in the head (man he took a hell of a hit!).

I think the ref knew it wasn't either but because of that dorks leg in the way he wouldn't overturn it because it wasn't 'conclusive'.
 
The fumble wasn't the BS call. The BS call was the Chambers TD. Even the Jets fans near me thought it was a touchdown!
 
I thought that the ground could not cause a fumble????? I saw Chambers catch and control the ball, get two feet down, and then lose the ball WHEN HE HIT THE GROUND out of bounds.....it was definately a terrible call, especially when you consider all the times in the past that a runner or receiver barely gets that ball over the goal line and fumbles only to have the referee rule that since it crossed the plane it was a TD......Where's the consistency?
I don't want to whine and make excuses...the game could have gone any number of ways if that call had been reversed, but those 4 points proved to be very hard to come by last night.
 
Can't even watch Monday Night Football!

I'm still so pissed and dissapointed over last night I can't even think about football without steaming.

My wife is a Broncos fan and is all excited about tonight.
I keep upsetting her because I don't want to talk football at all!

Anyone else still seething about this??
 
Yeah, trek. I'm still pissed about your wife being a bronco fan. I think you need to straighten her out. But yeah, I'm still pretty frustrated by the loss.

while i agree with most of your quotes, i have to strongly disagree here. no, we did not harrass pennington. no, we caused no TO'syes, they got a late field goal...bottom line, we held our worst rival to 6 offensive points in a hostile environment. the same team the scored 44 at SD and 21 vs cleveland. the d played very well
 
Yeah, but the D didn't really do anything. There were no sacks, no pressure, no picks. It did hold them to points, but where were the plays? It played well, but not that well.

No....maybe old age is creeping up, but I`ve moved on.

Sadly she is a lost cause.
At least she's not a Jet fan......
