PROS
-Jerome Baker has been a very solid FAST lb, something we’ve been begging for, for years.
-Xavien Howard rebounded from a down game and played very solid against a top tier WR (he’s continuing to develop into an absolute stud corner)
-Minkah Fitzpatrick blew the heck up out of a screen and continues to play tight coverage ( X & Minkah will be an awesome tandem for years to come)
-Glad to see Reshad Jones back he’s big time and a defensive leader, we NEED him.
-Jakeem Grant PR, he’s a pro bowl caliber return man
CONS
-Oline Depth is terrible and we’ve taken a beating up front.
-Tannehill wasn’t and hasn’t been good enough.
-The 3rd and 1 call where we throw a deep ball was horrible, Gore was rolling and that totally shifted momentum.
-I don’t know if this ones on Gase, or Tannehill, or our offense weapons but we just can’t make plays over the middle (minus a few plays from gesicki). We aren’t attacking all levels of the defense, it’s screens, check downs, and deep shots.

I totally agree with the lack of intermediate passing take. It’s odd!

That 3rd and 1 bomb was about the worst play call I've ever seen, especially when Gore was averaging like 7yds every time he touched the ball.

We cant win games when picks and fumbles turn into TDs.

Everyone hated that play call and wanted Gore to get the ball but how many times have we ran the ball in that situation just to get stuffed for a loss? If that happened the same fans would be saying how stupid it was to run the ball right into the teeth of the defense while they were stacked against the run, and 3 back up O-linemen.

Then a higher percentage pass at least...

Yea, I agree... but I dont think the play was designed to go there at all. There was a TE trying to get out to the flats, but got bumped back a yard or so then was covered, Ryan was looking there but that had Zero chance to succeed so he took a shot downfield hoping that the wr would make a play. I really dont know why I'm defending the call though because Gase's playcalling has sucked since day 1

If Tannehill checked out of that play and audibled to a run after seeing that defensive setup, all this sky is falling posts wouldn’t be here. But that’s hindsight and it didn’t happen.

yeah i don't know why you're defending it either, whether it was stuffed or not it was the right call, we had all the momentum and then that play

Rewatching the play it looks to me like Gase actually DID havd a run called and Tanne audible out of it....can anyone with more knowledge than me confirm or deny this

Someone in another thread did post that Tanny audible out of the run. If he did and didn’t see anyone open while rolling out why didn’t he just run for it? He had plenty of space to convert.

I believe on the 3rd and 1 Tannehill had some options. He had Stills deep, he had a crosser I believe or he could have run the ball. To my thinking it was all about the first down. There was no need to try for a low % kill shot. He should have simply run the ball and moved the chains and milked the clock. That's how you win those types of games. If you get stupid you get beat, we found that out. I watched Shula for years. Trust me when I tell you he would have handed it to Gore or in his case Larry Czonka.

That's the first I heard of that. If RT changed the play to that horrible pass that wasn't close then it's all on him and not Gase. Man, Ryan really killed us yesterday. We should be 4-1 now.

That would mean Tanny made two bad decisions in that 3rd & 1 play.
