ALright boys, I have a few things of what I am thinking about. I think Cameron wants to create an offensive dominating team. Just like the Chargers were last year. This might be far fetched, but here are a few scenarios I thnink could maybe possibly happen. first thing first, the qb position. I think Cameron wants Quinn, no doubt. But If we have to give up some picks to snag him, I dont believe cameron/mueller will do that. I think we will wait and see if he falls to us, if not, we trade down.I can see us bringing in trent green for a year or two to win now and use Lemon as Our developmental qb, no doubt the guy has talent. This is all if cpep is shot and is done for us. So i see us moving down a few slots if **** face quinn isnt there and even though we do have david martin we just brought in, dont put it past them to take a look at olsen. This guys is a great pass catching te, just like gates. I can see us brining in trent green, moving down a few slots, picking up greg olsen and grabbing staley with the seond pick...

Now I also read that json allen is practicing at corner..maybe merriwether at safety? would be sweet!! But with all honesty i see us grabing stley with the first second rounder and maybe stanton witht the next..

JMO but I don't think Staley will last to the second round. I read somewhere yesterday that the Pats are looking at Staley for one of their 1st round picks.

so we move up and get quinn no matter what even a 1st round 2008 pick...this kid is going to be special a franchise QB that will lead miami for 10-15 years.

Staley will not get past the Giants at 20. If New England wants him, they will trade to get him. Giants are so deserate for a LT. I see great things in London for JT and company.

Trade down and take Staley or trade down twice and take Michael Griffin.

Trade down with Pittsburgh to the #15 and pick up another 2nd rounder and then trade down with San Diego to the #30 and pick up a second and a fifth.

Draft 3 olinemen and a RB in the second and Paul Soliai in the third. QB in the fourth and the punter Sepulveda in the fifth. Hopefully Figurs is still there in the sixth because he is going to help some team right away in ST's and may turn out to be a really good WR. It would be nice to have another 5th round pick. Punter is extremely important to a defensive team like the Dolphins.

I'd trade Booker in a heartbeat for Yamon Figurs.

Jacob Ford DE and Gabe Hall OT in the sixth and Craig Dahl S in the seventh and we should trade the other two sevenths to move up a couple spots strategically.

All the talk about trading up and down are great, its a lot of fun. But it requires someone to trade with. Every scenario we think of Mueller and the GM's in GB, Carolina, Wash, etc have thought of as well (and perhaps a few more scenarios), the situation for a trade down or trade up has to be something two parties want to do.

If Quinn is gone by the #3 pick, I'm sure Mueller will be on the phone multiple times to look for a suitor for that pick, but just because he is looking doesn't mean another party is...In a perfect world, yeah, trade down to GB at 16 and take Staley or even with Carolina at 13 to take him, but that would mean that GB would be enamored with Peterson (and he's still on the board at #9) and they think there is a significant difference between him and Lynch. Carolina might covet Willis, for example who probably wont make it past Buffalo and want to trade up....

I just think that if it goes down that no one wants to trade or offer the right compensation for our #9 pick, that people on this board (and any other Fins board) will be calling Mueller an idiot for not trading down when in reality, he may have wanted to but wasn't getting the right compensation for the pick...

you can't make deperate moves like that. be patient. you take the best player available first. which could be quinn. if you ran the fins we would be like the deadskins and daniel snyder. lots of payroll and no draft picks.
