I don't like the corners in the top 10 in this draft. If we go in that direction based on need I am going to be sick. Anyway, here are my 4 choices in this order:

1. Myles Jack
2. Shaq Lawson
3. Emmanuel Ogbah
4. Reggie Ragland

Any of these 4 will start from day 1. I see a lot of people saying they want Hargreaves, why would we want a player that faded at the end of the year in college?????

That's a good list. I do think Hargreaves is near the top of Miami's list, Ramsey if he falls (doubt it). Buckner is another one I'd add, along with Stanley. The wildcard pick for me would be one of the defensive tackles...A'Shawn Robinson or Andrew Billings.

Buckner seems more like a 3-4 defensive end, but I could be wrong. I don't see a DT with this pick because of Phillips, that would be like Tannebaum admitting he made a mistake. Phillips to me seemed out of shape and didn't have much of a motor. A top end DT could be a smart pick especially if we keep shelby, wake and vernon, just don't see it with Tannebaum.

I don't know, I really like Mackenzie Alexander in this CB class. I like him better than Hargreaves. I don't know if Buckner is at the top of Miami's board or not. They've been burned by Oregon before. That may have put a bad taste in their mouths with prospects coming from that program.

If/when they restructure Suh, you could very well see them go for a CB in free agency. If they do that, I could see pass rusher like Lawson or Dodd being the pick there.

Another thought is a trade down. Usually if you have a top 10 pick you want to stay there because you've got a crack at someone elite without glaring question marks. In this draft, as soon as the Fins beat the Pats and dropped from 6 to 8, then that moved them out of the range of an elite player without injury question marks in this draft. There's like 3 or 4 truly elite prospects, without injury/character question marks, in this draft. They could move back 5 or so picks and get just a good a prospect as they could at 8, again in THIS draft. If they were to do that, I could see them drafting someone like a Sheldon Rankins to pair with Suh but that could also play some DE as well. But that's only if they trade back out of the top 10, into the teens. Anyone of the other DTs could be in play as well.

Im an fsu guy so havent watched Hargeaves a ton but he intrigues me. Is he a better cb prospect than Joe Haden? Cause if so I'll take that all day. I feel like the only knock on him is hes a tad undersized. Kelvin Benjamin abused him but I could see him locking up smaller and medium sized wrs in the nfl because he looks like he has elite athleticism.

whoops

Unless Bosa plummets to us there's no way in hell I see us going DT

Bosa is a DE. Let's just wait and see what happens in free agency before we rule anything out. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it sounds like Miami is going to create cap room and spend it. My prediction is the money goes to CB's and OG's.

Which would be a shame because this draft seems to have some very talented Guards that could fix our issues as long as we don't wait till the 4th to try and get one. Would be a long term fix that won't brake the bank initially like a free agent will.

I agree with what you're saying BUT based on what's been said by the organization don't you think my prediction is correct? They think they can win now so this is going to be another wild offseason.

No G in the 1st 3rds will have as much of an impact as one of the top LBs or DBs. This team is woefully deficient in the LB dept.and needs bolstering in the secondary.
Every good defense has at least one impact player at LB. The Dolphins are starving for one.

Exactly. Carolina, Denver, Seattle, New England all have a great LB groups.

If Miami gets a starting caliber upgrade at corner in free agency, I can see linebacker in round 1 and guard in round 2. I think R2 is where you can get some talented guards, but I wouldn't go there in R1.
