My view on the off-season so far...

We still have about 6 weeks of FA. I thought RT position was a higher priority then the Finnegan signing. We have a CB with losing skills and injury prone with two inexperienced injury prone QBs.

Right now we will be forced to draft an OT in the first round unless RT is resolved. Right now I see OT in first round; RB in second round; I would go CB in third;

There is still time and I expect someone to be cut that the Dolphins acquire. I don't mind drafting lineman as this maybe the best draft to go so as both Tackle and Guard are very deep. With that said I do hope they sign at least one more lineman who can compete or be a quality back-up.

Great review... I m not concerned with the finnegan signing... He doesn't have to become elite to help the team and we didn't pay too much to get him. He has what the phins have been lacking for a while... Passion & Toughness... Smith is depth and that doesn't hurt... ALbert was a move we had to do... I am happy that Starks is back. Might have been happier if it were Soliai but still happy. Resigning Grimes still makes me smile. Well done so far and lots of time to make more positive steps before the draft. I'm patient... :)

I love 2011 Finnegan and if he returns to that form then the Dolphins made a hell of a pick up...if bluefin is correct and he was severely hampered by the eye injury then it is very possible he does come back and have a positive impact.

One of the most balanced perspectives that I have read. Thank you Convenient Truth for your detailed perspective. Your contribution is always good.
I would have got Carroll back for CB depth - he played well last year. The key with Finnegan is assessing his health. If he's fully recovered and has gas in the tank, he can be very disruptive. At a minimum, he probably helps develop Taylor and Davis.
As for getting three 30 year olds, I wouldn't worry about it. After the Martin/Incognito debacle, we need leadership and maturity in the locker room. I would actually sign up Jones Drew at RB, as well.
