N.Y. Jets CB Darrelle Revis ‘doesn’t want to play anymore’

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was the best defender in the league for many years. Unfortunately, he’s been getting smoked by receivers this season and a new report from the New York Daily News says that’s because Revis doesn’t want to play football anymore.

Citing a “confidant” of Revis’, the Daily News suggests that Revis has a “questionable drive and lack of commitment and discipline to maintain his body.” The source cited reportedly said that Revis would be “done right now” if he had his way, and that he “doesn’t want to play anymore.”

New England Patriots quarterback and former teammate Tom Brady said that he thought Revis might be “playing hurt” this season. This report from the Daily News offers up a more worrying and concerning sentiment: Revis just might be done.
