I doubt we will restructure Suh this year, but we will be able to generate a good amount of money with cuts and restructures. So with that, and also leaving out some of our higher potential re-signings (OV, Matthews, Miller), who would you target in your frugal efforts to help solidify the team?

1. Mark Barron SS/OLB- 116 tackles, 3 FF, played better as a linebacker but will have to get bigger ( 6'2 213) to play there full time. Definitely could see him in a Big Nickel package as a sideline to sideline type player.

2. Vladimir Ducasse G- Gase has first hand experience with the vet, big guard ( 6'5 335) that blocked for a 100 yard rusher 6-11 starts for Chicago. At 28, still has upside and definitely brings some much needed power to the interior.

3. Courtney Upshaw DE/OLB- 51 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 FF last year, I've always liked him and wanted to draft him when he came out. I see him more as an end for us especially with this size ( 6'2 272) and could be a cheaper, same age, replacement to OV

4. Morris Claiborne CB- Could this be the next Pac Man Jones for Vance Joseph? Has all the talent, just needs to stay healthy and good coaching. His value is at the lowest right now, could be a great gamble that could pay off.

5. Ronnie Hillman RB- If we lose out on the Miller sweepstakes, here is the guy I would want us to sign to give us that change of pace, 3rd down, zone read type running back to compliment Ajayi

in truth, all FAs break the bank... don't hire mercs!

So just skip all free agents. Ok. That works. Even the great teams like the Patriots and Seahawks sign free agents, they just tend to do exactly as he has suggested - spend SMART

The high ticket price is what you pay to get what you can't in the draft. It's dollars...don't worry, Ross has over four billion of them

Brandon Books G from Houston
Sean Spence ILB from Pittsburgh
Omar Bolden FS from Denver
Antwon Blake CB from Pittsburgh
Matt Asiata RB from Minnesota

Jeremy Lane and Shead from Seattle.

Are we sure that's a good thing?

I really only mean that in the way that Pac Man had the talent, but had to bounce around the league and learn from his mistakes to get to top form. Not too sure about Claiborne's characteristics

Please break the bank and get me more players like the caliber of suh. Get me impact players that are not injured....get talent and stop bringing in scrubs like wheeler, Gabril Wilson etc...

I would pay a little more and get CB Patrick Robinson. Robinson may be approaching shutdown status after two consecutive years grading out very high; and doing it on teams with an atrocious pass rush. The 2014 Saints and the 2015 Chargers.

If he plays this well on a team with a good pass rush he might just enter the top tier of NFL CB's.

I'm thinking it is likely Vance helps us acquire Adam Jones and Reggie Nelson. These two are gray beards, they aren't going to command big money.

I would like to take a flier on Andre Smith. If he doesn't retire I think he could revive his career at RG. Smith had an awful year last year. Their was a severe concussion and obviously that and perhaps some other issues as well caused the enormous plunge. Prior to last year he was a perennial top ten RT. He isn't going to get paid.

Doubt we will need to sign a RB.

I also like the idea of signing Donald Penn and moving Brandon Albert to LG.

I would sign Tony Bergstrom to play center and trade Mike Pouncey. This would probably garner at least a 2nd round pick and clear over 30 million going forward; actually twenty after signing Bergstrom to a multi-year deal. With that pick I would draft Joshua Perry, perhaps the best 4-3 MLB prospect in the draft. Perry is a leader in the truest sense. With the extra cap room over the next three years the Dolphins could sign another top tier free agent at about 7 mil a year, or just put the money toward Miller or Vernon.

I would rather take a flier on Andre Smith formerly of the Bengals.

I like a lot of your ideas. I think we need to sign or draft another RB whether we resign Miller or not, I really don't want to see Damian Williams in fine uniform ever again. I ****ing love Josh Perry, he's a liability on coverage but hopefully we could snag Jack in the first round and have him out there to make up for it. Or if we grabbed anothe 2nd round pick like you said draft Perry and Cravens, that'd be pretty rad.

Resign Miller and Shelby. Reduce Wake.
Brandon Brooks.
Reggie Nelson.
Leon Hall.
I would not be opposed to Barron as the other OLB if he putson 15#.

No way you get a second for Pouncey with that contract and the quality of centers in the draft. He's going nowhere.

Intrigued that you think Perry is the best MLB prospect in the draft. I've read he's a leader and a great dude and he definitely is a physical specimen. But what evidence do you have he can play MLB? He was strong side at OSU.

How can you say Perry is a liability in coverage ? Very few teams OSU faced even throw the ball to TE's or RB's.

Most of the MLB's in the NFL played OLB in college. This is done all the time. Perry is a better athlete than most people think. Wait for the combine. Perry is the next Derrick Johnson. Wouldn't mind having Derrick in Miami next year mentoring him.
