Can you name a surprise player at every position? Here is my stab at it:

QB - Holland
RB - Riggs Jr.
TE - Rader
OT - Alabi
OG - Berger
OC - Smith
WR - Vick

DT/NT - Fifita
DE - Roth
ILB - Bray
OLB - Newman
S (either) - Hunt
CB - Mitchell

I realize that there are other worthy names but these are my initial candidates. I realize Roth is a strange name to include, but I expect better things from him.

When someone post something thats not repeating the same thing over and over again, that person is attacked for being bored or someone with too much time on there hands.:shakeno:

Yeah, I probably am..

I guess I am ready to see real action and stop the speculating.

Carey finally becomes the LT he was drafted for.

The biggest surprise will be Joey Harrington if he starts for DC for a few games, he will create a serious QB controversy, then will become 1st or 2nd round trade bait in 2 years. Watch & see.

In Saban We Trust!

1st round?? i doubt it... maybe a 2nd or 3rd if we are lucky... not to be pessemistic, just my opinion.

I have seriously lost all faith in this kid.:(

I would have to agree with you before Houck came in, but now, Carey has become a very good RT for us. He has improved alot with better coaching and he still has room for improvement. He needs alittle more work, but Houck will work with him and help him become a guy who is worth a 1st rounder.

I think these players are on their way up or at least i'm hoping they are. I haven't heard much about some of these guys in a while so it's really hard to give a good assessment.

QB - C.Lemon
RB - KJ.Harris
TE - T.Johnson
OT - A.Alabi
OG - J.Berger
OC - W.Smith
WR - F.Gibson

DT - K.Vickerson
DE - M.Roth
ILB - T.Bray
OLB - Newman
S (either) - S.Shabazz
CB - Mitchell

K - O.Kimrin

Carey will be going at RT - so I don't see how he'll compete at LT unless there are injuries there.

My player - Tony Pape, RT. I don't know if he'll start, but he'll surprise and do well in the pre-season.

Other surprises:

Aromashodu - WR - will make the team as the 4th/5th WR.

Roth - DE - will get more PT at DE/DT.

Will Poole - CB - will make us forget about Sam Madison by the end of the year. Will start out slow as a nickel/dime back, but will become a very good role player and show we have good depth and talent in the D-backfield.

I hope ... ;)

QB - Cleo Lemon becomes 2nd string
RB - Kay Jay takes all of minor and morris's carries
TE - Peele becomes a factor in the offense
OT - Damion McIntosh moves Carey inside
OG - Carey becomes a pro-bowl RG
OC - Hadnot starts a 8 year hold on the position
WR - Hagan takes Booker's spot by years end

DT/NT - Kevin Vickerson
DE - Vonnie Holiday gets 8 sacks
ILB - Pope Keeps Crowder outside
OLB - David Bowens!!!! this could be the biggest surprise of the year!
S (either) - Deke Cooper, he's the surprise SS starter
CB - Jason Allen plays LCB

Honorable mention- Chris McNeil takes Mckinney's roster spot. Travis Daniels starts at FS. Welker keeps his slot position. Kelly campbell becomes the primary KR/PR!
