Of the top prospects, I'd be happy if we picked:
C. Long - Looks like a sure-thing if there ever was one
J. Long - I believe he's a stud LT, no matter what others write
McFadden - Most talent in the draft. Can never have too much talent

Of the top prospects, I'd be pissed off if we draft:
Matt Ryan - Not impressed
Gholston - Too much bust potential for the #1 overall
Dorsey - I love this kid, but he's not a 3-4 NT.

Happy:
J. Long - would be nice to get another anchor on the line
C. Long - great prospect on all levels, will be a great player
Dorsey - most dominant player in the draft, would be an outstanding 3-4 DE

Pissed:
Matt Ryan - Not impressed with him from all the games of him ive seen
McFadden - wont be able to just rely on his speed and those gaping holes he saw at arkansas dont exist in the NFL

Happy:
Chris Long - probably the only guy who can guarantee will give you all he's got.
Vernon Gholston - versitility, my friend, versitility.
Glenn Dorsey - got a motor like Long and came from a tradition of excellence.

Pissed:
Matt Ryan - I would always draft out of need and QB's not a pressing need.
Darren McFadden - unless he's trade bait and unless Brown is traded, this would be a waste.
Jake Long - so what about Vernon Carey?

1- J. Long

2- Clady

3- Harvey

Not that I don't think C. Long, Dorsey, Gholston can be very decent players...we just don't need them. Ryan could be a decent QB...but why get another decent QB...when we already have two on the roster...if your going to select a QB...he should have a chance of a higher up side...than just being decent.

I think, right or wrong, a case could be made for any one of the six you have mentioned at #1. Everyone has pros/cons, but not so horrible that it would upset me if picked. I think it would take someone outside of this group picked at #1 to get me upset with the pick, as that would be a shocker and make one scratch their head on the pick. We all have our own favorites, but I can't say I'd be mad with the FO if they went with one over the other because I would have assumed they've done their homework on these guys and went with the one they thought would help us the most.

you move Carey to RT where hes proven to be a monster... also it gives you flexibility, you can leave Carey at LT and put Long at RT as he gets accustomed to the NFL then move him to LT when hes ready... not all of these guys start out at LT... Jonathan Ogden started his first year and a half at Guard before becoming the starting LT... Jamaal Brown started his first year as a RT, then moved over to LT for the saints he is now a Probowl LT...

Happy - Matt Ryan or Brian Brohm, listed in order of preference.

Pissed - Any QB other than Matt Ryan or Brian Brohm.

I don't think I'd be too happy about getting Matt Ryan or Chad Henne. There's always been something missing for me with Chad Henne, yet if we got him in the second round, you know this staff would give Henne every opportunity possible to dust the previous staff's choice, John Beck...whom I believe is a better quarterback. That would be my issue. I do not believe it would be a "may the better player win" scenario. I think Henne being younger and being the guy THEY picked versus the guy Cameron picked, would make all the difference in the world in terms of competition between Beck and Henne. If I believed it would be a fair competition, I wouldn't mind as much.

Matt Ryan would piss me off just because I know there are at least five or so players better than him that we could pick.

for me here the last few years it hasn't been who we draft more then when we draft.

example 1. i think j.allen is an ok kid with promising physical abilities but i was furious and dumbstruck when we drafted him #12 overall.

example 2. i felt the same way with ginn..alot of potential but felt like i was slapped in the face with a herring when we drafted him #9 overall.

this year i can see feeling the same way if say we draft matt ryan #1 overall or glenn dorsey #1 overall. if we keep the #1 pick and draft a guy from the late first, early second i will be a bit down. i don't feel we have gotten the value for our first rounders the last few drafts and hope that changes this year.

Happy: Chris Long (probably the player I would be happiest with #1), Jake Long (a mountain), James Hardy (big reciever that might fall into our laps at #31), Dennis Dixon (worth a chance in a late round), Dan Conner (If we go with Jake at #1), Sam Baker (If we go Chris with #1).

Pissed: Matt Ryan (he is only the best QB in this draft by default, and that doesn't warrant a #1 pick.), Glenn Dorsey (doesn't fit the system), Darren McFadden (don't need a running back, let alone one that runs that tall.)

happy - anyone not named matt "turnover machine" Ryan
pissed- matt "turnover machine" ryan

Happy:

Chris Long
Jake Long
Matt Ryan
Quentin Groves
Dan Conner (not gonna happen though :()
Sam Baker
Brian Brohm
Tom Zbikowski

Pissed:

Darren McFadden
Vernon Gholston
Ryan Clady
Joe Flacco

Happy:
J. Long
C. Long
Dorsey
Dan Conner

Pissed:
Matt Ryan
McFadden

There are many guys I'd be neutral on (more of a wait and see attitude) but Ryan and McFadden would make me question whether BP/Ireland knew what they were doing. It would make me think that at their previous stops there must have been somebody who stopped them from making the obviously stupid choice and that we lacked that person here.

Happy:

Vernon Gholston, Chris Long, Jake Long, Glenn Dorsey, Joe Flacco, Chad Henne, Martellus Bennett, Kendall Langford, Antoine Cason, Jeremy Zuttah among others.

Pissed:

Matt Ryan, Darren McFadden, Erik Ainge, Red Bryant, Josh Johnson (I'm biased because my school beat up on San Diego this year) Sedrick Ellis.
