Just curious are there any nascar fans here?? I was slowly turned onto it and am now a fan. It's a good sport to bridge you from one NFL season to another, being that it starts in Feb and ends in November. So..any one here into nascar?
 
Big fan of the #24 car. Drive for Five!!!

(And yes, I'm aware that Gordon's probably not qualifying for the Chase.)
 
too bad for Jeffy, all about #20. If he doesnt fall from climbing a track fence and break his neck :rofl3:
 
I'm not a huge NASCAR fan, but I do enjoy watching it every once in a while. Most people who knock it have never actually sat down and watched a race. How can you not love the competitive nature and decisions (when to take pit stops, adjustments, ect.) involved throughout the race?

Very underrated, IMHO.
 
Man, Smoke has been awesome the last month. That win at Sonoma was really impressive, how he held the car in gear with his right hand and drove with his left for the last dozen laps or so. I mean, ONLY Tony Stewart could pull off something like that.

What? He's a great driver, but before there was a Tony Stewert there was a Jeff Gordan. H opened the door up for the young guns (previously to Jeff it was a good ole boys thing).

I was a Dale Earnhardt fan before he died, and My dad was always a JG fan. If Earnhardt was out of the race, I would hope JG did well. So when he died, It was an easy transition.
 
By all means no one is trying to take anything away from JG. You guys going to the homestead race??
 
Aside from what was stated above about how competitive it is, I think the fan support is probably the best I've seen in any sport. Where else do you see fans on site tailgating for an entire week? I went to the pepsi 400 up in daytona and I was amazed. Tailgating in the parking lots of target, kfc's, the mall etc...
 
I don't follow NASCAR or consider myself to be a fan... I do watch the races occasionally. Today I watched the last 20 or so laps. It looks so great in HD too :D
 
Sorry, just can't get into NASCAR. I've tried. Just can't do it.
 
I follow Nascar and root for Jeff Gordon. I don't watch whole races ever (like sit down and plan to watch it like I do the Yankees or other games) but if I'm watching TV and a race is on I definitely watch the last 50 laps or so!

Indeed he is a highlight of the sport. Just not the same this year since he's struggling :( . On another note he will have Truex Jr as a teammate next year :rawk: :woot:

Truex will definetly be big next year. He's my favourite driver besides Dale Jr.
