No he shouldn't. I have no clue how people actually believe this. But hey, everyone is entitled to his opinion. If anything, RT is better for him. He does not have the bulk to play a starting guard in the NFL. Never did. and please, do not compare what anyone did when Penny was the QB, complete different situation and at the time, the WC was brandy new.

I will even go out on a limb and say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, John Jerry is playing RG with the second team.

Nate Garner can be used at any line position, and play well, when he is healthy. He is probably on the second team so the coaches can get a look at another player.
I would not be surprised to see Garner starting somewhere on the line against New England.

Pennington was not the QB when Garner was starting the last 6 games of the 2009 season; he (Pennington) was on IR. Garner was the 2nd best Lineman on the team that year behind Long and everyone who saw the games know it.

I like this a lot, LOT better.

Incognito is garbage at LG, Garner is a better LG than him. But Incognito can be decent at RG.

And Carey can be good at either LG or RG. Remember that Carey lost a lot of weight this offseason. He looked very trim in his fishing photos this summer and looks the part in practice photos. It's about time he looks svelte for a lineman,

Vern will be totally fine in pass pro at guard. There's a lot less space/ground to cover as an interior lineman compared to a tackle. Carey will be an excellent guard.

Jake won't have to cover Carey for anything. I would bet you that Jake will give up more sacks and QB pressures than Carey will at guard.

Not sure the Fo has the same warm and fuzzy about garner as some people on this board. Kind of reminds me of when so many on this board were proclaiming that berger was so good and now a year later he sucks lol.
