Nate Garner is playing LG

thye moved him for a reason and i doubt he goes back. Carey also was not one of the best RT's last year but maybe it was a hiccup. He was pretty average at best last year

Carey, when in shape and not being bothered by little nagging injuries is a solid RT. I think Carey was facing that last year, and he was still a better RT than Colombo . . . but to be fair, Colombo was coming back from injury. I dunno . . . all the attention on Henne and the OLine has been the bigger story the last 2 years IMO.

I wasn't a of moving Carey for Colombo and I'm still not . . . but let's see what happens. I do like the idea of moving Carey to Guard but not at the expense of severly downgrading at right tackle.

from the low budget signing it doesn not seem the league thinks much of mr columbo anymore

yea funny how u only have that to lay your head on. Hmm how I was quite right on ted Ginn being an awful pick, Pat white being an awful pick, john beck being an awful pick.
Also didnt like the Tim dobbins pickup, knew Trent Green was done, Gibril wilson was a bad contract. So yea I didnt see Wake as a superstar and Im sure u just knew he was gonna tear up the NFL.
I still quite stand behind my reasoning for noth thinking Cam Wake would be a great NFL player and please tell me about how all these CFL players come in and become really good NFL players. There is a reason wake had to play in canada and tahts because he was not good enough to play in the NFL. He worked on himself and became an NFL player. There are alot of people on this board that said that Matt Ryan was going to be a bust and I from the beginning said he was going to be a damn good NFL qb so Im right some and wrong some who cares. Every year we overhype a guy on this board and most years these guys dont do a damn thing. How is Donald Thomas's hall of fame career going lol. There was actually a beat writer who after playing a part of game was proclaiming his greatness. why dont u make that comment to our self proclaimed draft gurus who said Beck was such a great pick or the ones that said the spped of Booker and Ginn was gonn be too much for our rivals.

In reality what I said about CFL players was quite true, the facts show that. Wake is just a massive exception. I dont mind being wrong especially when the player turns out good unfortunately Im seldom wrong in that direction moreso when I think a player will be good.

You sound like you're preaching to yourself. Keep it up! Maybe it'll help. You credit yourself w/seeing what many of us saw. We just don't need to trumpet ourselves for it. Try analysis.

idont trumpete it, I was just being sideswiped again because I did not think wake was going to be as good so I pointed out that Im right much more than wrong. I did a detaileded analsis on why matt ryan was going to be a great NFL qb and of course many disagreed. In fact there were very few people on this board that really did not like the beck or ginn pick day one. This was really just my reply to one poster so u can save the preaching mumbo jumbo as for analysis I never claimed to be some kinfd of guru although I have seen many a poster that does and gave quite detailed opinions yet they were quite wrong. Not really sure why I should have went into all that to reply to a post to a particular poster or maybe u missed that.

of course many people will see the same thing hell its like that in the NFL. Lets just not act like all these opinions were obvious ones because this board was full of glowing comments about the 2007 draft at the time it happened and I was quite blasted for my take on the draft which was quite detailed at the time. I personally dont care if anybody on this board agrees with my opinions because uit makes them no less valid. Popular opinion is not always the most imformed.

I'm really surprise, with all the trouble these local beat writers love to start, how no one has asked Sparano about how he said he wasn't going to tinker with the O-line as much and why he's still doing it. I wish these clowns like Armando and Omar could get off the Henne bashing for a few minutes and ask this question along with, why didn't they feel the need to upgrade the TE position in free agency, why he feels Marc Colombo has anything left in the tank after being rated the 3rd worst RT in football last year and if they ever plan on signing free agents that don't have some kind of Dallas connection to them (Matt Moore, Kevin Burnett, Marc Colombo this year).

Maybe it because they realized the lockout changed everything. With over 40 workouts missed this past off-season, Sparano and offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, must cram three months of finding the best five or atleast the right five into as many weeks.

Can't wait to see Carey pull we will be measuring his foot speed with a sun dial

i think he will ok at guard and it might be his best position but maybe they should have done this years ago

Well he has to mess with it because the OL totally sucked before the shuffling

No, no. Injuries do not equate sucking - they're just injuries. But say there were points of weakness. It still doesn't justify screwing with the entire line.

Anyone that has watched football for a while knows that continuity in an OL is just as important (arguably, even more important) than raw talent. You might have a bunch of average guys, but you keep them together, and they'll play better than the sum of the parts. Sparano - ironically given his tenure as an OL coach - should know this, yet he does his best to remove that element from this team.

Pick 5 guys, go with them. It WILL lead to better results.

Thats why he is the RG and will remain there. For the Oh so Knowledgable ones a little info. Incognito played LG alongside Orlando Pace and that season Steven Jackson had the most yards he ever had, also made the pro bowl. Next year they moved him to center and Steven Jackson has his second best year rushing and made the pro bowl along with Tory Holt, Orlando Pace and even Bulger made it. Oh yeah, thats when they fired their Oline coach who put the whole thing together, Paul Boudreaux. For those that never heard of him he went on to be the Oline coach at Atlanta and well, he kinda put a good Oline together again. So no, Incognito playing LG is not a l iability. If any really bothered to look at most games last year, when he was asked to pull to pick up the DE comeing from the Right side, he never missed a block on him. When he pulled thru the hole between Carey and Jerry ? 9 out of 10 times there was no hole on the right side to pull thru. Beer eyes are cheap so, drink on folks. The beer eyes stuff was not directed at you Miamiiron. You are among the very few who actuall realize how really slow Vernon Carey really is or was last season. Team that up with John Jerry being Division 3aaaaaaa quality at RG and no, there was no hole for our LG to pull thru, did not matter who was playing LG either.
