i think garner starts at RT if vernon isn't on the team. if vernon stays with the team garner has to fend off incogs and jerry for one of the two guard spots, and i have no idea how that competition would shake out.

Let me tell you where I think we're screwing up here...big time. We screwing with the RT who, IMO, is still solid and all the while both Guard spots are still complete garbage. So we're going to ask a rookie to play Center while the Guards on either side of him have no clue what they're doing and can't help him out.

Bingo . . . I mean I don't know what kind of shape Big V came into camp with, I don't know what type of injuries he may/may not have . . . but the guy is still a solid RT. Overpaid, hell you made him the highest paid RT in the league 2 years ago . . . no kidding you overpaid him, however he is still solid and with a new Center in the fold to have question marks at both guard spots is a disgrace. Why are we worrying about our RT, when LG/RG both are areas of concern? And we wonder why the OLine can never "gel".

What the heck does that mean? Plaxico shot himself in the leg and hasn't played a game in 2 years but according to ESPN he's the missing piece to the Jets super bowl run.

And what's with all this O'Hara talk? Did I miss something? Was he signed? Last I read he left here yesterday without signing a contract.

doing time in jail and having the same serious season ending worthy injury 3 times in 2 years are not the same thing...garner was a fringe roster player to begin with in 09...if he goes 2 years without ever helping anyone for the same injury i think the nfl will move on

Nate Garner is probably Miami's second best offensive lineman behind Jake Long.... eliminate the virtual unknown of the rookie Pouncey for sake of clarity. I think he starts rather comfortably unless John Jerry makes up ground...

I expect him to someday replace Carey. In the meantime, I would love to see him replace Incognito (or Jerry)

I think he was an RFA. Don't know if he signed his tender, but if he survives training camp, we need to lock him up for a while.

He isn't a bad player, but if he starts we have issues. And proves Jon Jerry is a 3rd round BUST. Another great draft pick by Ireland who can't win a starting job
