One thing the Dolphins don’t have a shortage of entering this NFL season: Bulletin board material.Yes, the Dolphins sometimes do print out negative articles and hang them up in various spots around their locker room and training facility for added motivation. And there should be no shortage of that right now, as more and more national media outlets continue to dump on the Dolphins’ playoff prospects for the 2011 season. Here is a collection of all of the negative predictions for the Dolphins this year. If you see any I missed, please post them in the comments section and I’ll add it:Sports IllustratedSenior writer Peter King picked the Dolphins to finish 6-10 and in last place in the AFC East.“What worries me about this team is that clearly they wanted to go out and get Kyle Orton in the offseason. They failed,” King said. “And I like Chad Henne, but I liked him a lot more in the past. He’s had a chance to prove himself and he’s not played very well.”And senior writer Don Backs predicts “Miami’s dreadful homefield disadvantage will continue.”Pro Football TalkMike Florio currently has the Dolphins ranked 29th in his Power Rankings.“The owner wanted Jim Harbaugh, but settled for Tony Sparano. Sparano wanted Kyle Orton, but settled for Chad Henne. The fans want the Heat, but may have to settle for the Dolphins.”ESPN Radio’s Mike and MikeMike Greenberg predicted the Dolphins to finish 3-13.“I look at the Dolphins – their defense is good. I don’t think it’s great,” Greenberg said on the show two weeks ago. “I think they will miss Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams more than you think. Reggie Bush, to me, is not a guy you hand the ball to and figure, ‘OK, we’re taken care of back there.’ There are major questions at quarterback, they have a coach who is in a desperate situation and knows it. … Brandon Marshall, maybe he’s gotten to a better place emotionally, but he’s a tough guy to look at and say I have total confidence that things are going to work out there. I don’t know, I don’t see good things for Miami.”Mike Golic predicted 4-12.“It’s going to be a look-over-your-shoulder situation,” Golic said. “I may be short-changing them, but either way I think they’re going to take a step back from last year.”ESPN’s NFL CountdownOn a media conference call Tuesday, I asked Chris Berman and Tom Jackson what it will take for the Dolphins to upset the Patriots on Monday Night Football.Jackson’s initial response was laughter. And he didn’t stop for 21 seconds.“That’s good,” he said in between laughs. “I like that.”Jackson also put the onus on the Dolphins’ pass-rushers, “Cameron Wake and Channing Chowder.” No, he didn’t know that Crowder was cut over a month ago. And that his name isn’t “Chowder.” (Unfortunately I haven’t been able to figure out a way to upload the audio.)ESPN.comThe Dolphins are ranked No. 24 in their Week 1 Power Rankings.John Clayton: “It amazes me that the offensive line is a problem with all the investments and work in trying to fix it.”Among their five insiders, only one has them finishing as high as second in the division.CBSSports.comPete Prisco ranks the Dolphins No. 18 in his Power Rankings, which is the most respect any of the national outlets give Miami.“It’s all about Chad Henne and the passing game. They will be tough on defense. That’s for sure.”http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...phins-with-plenty-of-bulletin-board-material/
