My wife was born in New Jersey and she moved with her parents to Florida in 1961. I first went to New Jersey when I went to Boot Camp in Cape May. After my wife and I married in 1973, we used to go to New Jersey every summer to visit her relatives. I always thought New Jersey was a great place to visit and I loved going down to Tom’s River where one of her Aunt’s live. Most all of her relatives have passed away so we haven’t been to New Jersey in about 10 years.Born and raised. No place I’d rather be, no place I’d rather be from. ?
I used to have a hotel I was responsible for in Secaucus......I would always wonder “why do they call this the garden state” every time I visited it.Born and raised. No place I’d rather be, no place I’d rather be from. ?
In South Carolina and it is 100% Panthers here......and they are the most boring team in the NFL. Thank god for Sunday Ticket....I live in upstate NY. It is Jets/Bills and Giants/Eagles every single week. Get to watch two dumpster fire teams play at 1 this Sunday. I guess it will be interesting to see how many times the broadcasters screw up and call Washington “The Redskins”.
I work in Parsippany- grew up about 20 minutes west of there. Most out-of-staters just see the Turnpike when they land in Newark and assume the entire state looks like that. Not the case at all. We combine the urban, the rural, the mountains, farms, the shore.... we have a little bit of everything.I used to have a hotel I was responsible for in Secaucus......I would always wonder “why do they call this the garden state” every time I visited it.
Then I picked up a hotel in Parsippany and it was the complete opposite.....very beautiful area.
Most miserable summer of my life was spent in Jersey.
Did nothing but sweat and take 3 cold showers a day.
