NBC pencils Pats @ Dolphins for primetime?

This year, NBC has the option to select one Sunday afternoon game in Weeks 10-15 and Week 17 and move that to primetime. According to the New York Post's Phil Mushnick, NBC executives are looking at New England/Miami for its Week 14 matchup. However, NBC does not have to make its final selection until 12 days before the game, and obviously each team's record will factor into that decision.

In case you were wondering, the other games on NBC's early target list:

Nov. 12 - Chicago @ Giants
Nov. 19 - Washington @ Tampa Bay
Nov. 26 - Philadelphia @ Indianapolis
Dec. 3 - Seattle @ Denver
Dec. 17 - Kansas City @ San Diego
Dec. 31 - Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati
 
I would love more primetime games. More national exposure the better! Perhaps the old faithful UNDEFEATED orange jerseys can be broken out as well.

especially since I just bought one of those orange jerseys and my wife hates it....gives me another reason to wear it:sidelol:
 
wow that would be pretty nice, 4 prime time games out of 16, not bad....
 
I think it's enevitable that that game gets selected for the Sunday nighter. Great find Dave! That's awesome that we will probably have 4 games on national TV this year. We already have 3 for sure. That game against New England just might decide the division. Suppose we win the first matchup agaisnt the Patsies, if we win that game, that will win the division IMO. I can't wait for the season and can't wait till we get a shot at the Pats! I hate them so much and love the Fins so much! LOL!
 
Sounds good to me, but I predicted this one all along!

The one I really want to see get moved to primetime is Vikings @ Dolphins! :D

How about all of them get moved to primetime? LOL, that would be awesome. The one that I've herd has a good shot of moving up is the week 17 game @ Indianapolis. I really hope that doesn't happen because that means I'll be staying home on new years eve lol. Of course I'll watch, but I'd much rather have it during the day.
 
Don't forget that the networks (CBS and FOX) get a veto for five games each so that they can also fight for ratings. I'm sure CBS may try to keep that one.

there are some huge potential games on that list. We'll have to wait and see.
 
I sure am going to miss the ole Saints vs Falcons?....and that should be prime time any time......
 
Week 14 game is on December 10...my 30th Birthday!!!! Just thought I would let everyone know. Go Fins :dolphins:
