I usually don't get too worked up over any media breakdown of the AFC East or entire NFL for that matter. I also usually get the bulk of my news from MSNBC but their breakdown of the East has frankly pissed me off. Here is the link before I rant about and if it’s a repost please merge but I didn’t see it posted:

To say New England has the best offense simply based on the fact that they set records 2 years ago is simply ridiculous (where is the ****ing analysis, players aging, players who left, added players etc…???).

The JETS are better because of there coach?? Don’t they have a Rookie QB at the helm??? Isn’t that good for at least 4 losses in itself, it would be if Miami was starting Henne.

And yes TO is the must watch player of the division I will give them that one but more then likely it will be must watch him self implode.

Maybe it bothers me today because the season is so close and I have been hankering for some good football like a fat kid looking for cupcakes or maybe I was neglected when I was kid which lead to my adult ADHD but the more I look at it I think I am all fired up simply due to the fact that someone **** in my Wheaties this morning and that’s just not cool.

I hope the media pisses the players off as much as it does me. I can NOT wait for this season to start to quell the critics again.

***Note:Quell - to thoroughly overwhelm and reduce to submission or passivity <quell a riot>

umm you really dont think NE has the best offense in the division? even last year without Brady they had the best offense in the division, why is that such an upsetting prediction?

i dont know where it said the Jets are better because of their coach, they said their DEFENSE should be better because of him, he is a strong defensive minded coach and they already had talent on defense and added more... whats the problem here?

and must see player, yeah TO to watch him implode, is must watch stuff...

why does any of this bother you?

:tumbleweed:Thats fine let NE have the target on their backs, we can continue to fly under the radar. Suits me just fine. Also remember NE is a Tom Brady injury away from having a bad year since they have no backup at that position to speak of. Their Offense carries that Team not the defense. If the Defense is asked to carry the load they are in TROUBLE.

I'll admit that I don't like the media not giving us our due. But at the same time, like Arsenal said, I am just fine with being under the radar.

And tell you what, if we can make the playoffs again I personally would liken us the Pats back when they started their daynasty (sp?). Going down the strech and winning without the huge superstars (at least that I can remember).

But again, this is all pending playoffs. Which in MY opinion we havea great shot at making.

NE does have the best offense, that really can't be argued.

The fact that we just got a short mention at the end of the "Breakdown" section and that we didn't get "the best of" does piss me off though. The media will never love this team because it is not flashy and does not have any controversial trouble making players. I could really give a sh*t what anyone thinks about this team as long as we win games.

NE might very well have the best O in the division but to make that claim based on 2 years ago is not good reporting, give me this year’s facts Jack! A lot changes in 2 years time and speculative reporting is good fiction, the facts are the facts, report them.

The JETS are always the JETS and T.O. will be a distraction before the end of the season and oh by the way, why has no one mentioned that the Pats have the oldest average age of any NFL roster. That might count for something but I am not sure or not.

Please tell us which offense is better than the Pats and explain why.

I understand where you are coming from, its lazy analysis and poor journalism that has bothered you.

In as far as the lack of respect the Dolphins are seeing, hey... "why not us"... Sparano will continue to work that angle...

please never use news and msnbc in the same sentence. The obama propaganda network is full of lies and knows nothing about the nfl.

it cracks me up when people get so pissed at the media...

look at the poll on the page....64% of the public thinks the Patriots will win the division

take a look at the Vegas odds....the betting public is putting their money on the Patriots.

why do you expect writers, bloggers, hacks...whatever you want to call them to have a different opinion?

Passing Offense: there is no one close on the AFC east, and having those WR's have helped their poor rushing game a lot. Now, on the NFL I think Green Bay, San Diego, Philadelphia, Arizona and New Orleans are on the same level.

Rushing Offense: I think they are the worst on the division, if not for those Wr's taking away safeties, their running game is average at best.
I think Jets, Dolphins, Bills and Pats on that order.

If we make the playoffs this year, the key on a very competitive AFC east will be the same as always, 1) Don't turnover the ball, 2) Stop the Run, 3) Long scoring drives (win the time possesion), 4) Sack Lady Brady and put him on the floor!!!! 5) Run Forrest, Ruuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!

I just said New England probably has the best offense what's to explain? Baring injury and on paper they do but the game isn’t played on paper and every year is full of surprises.

I also said all I wanted was a fair comparison and some data not just "because they had a record breaking season two years ago" They still have a top ten and probably top five offense but my point is why? Don’t give me a statement with out fact. Why is the offense still a top 5 or top 10? Did the line degrade or did it improve? What about the backs and receivers, why are they better or worse then two years ago?

So many articles are based on opinions and not factual information. Reporting is what is failing. Do I usually get pissed off over predictions “NO!” This one rubbed me the wrong way because the division winners are at the bottom like a stray dog in the pound and it’s been two years now and no one has said the following:

“maybe the Miami Dolphins are facing a challenging climb repeating as division winners with Tom Brady healthy again and a new coaching staff in NY bring in a new attitude, TO in Buffalo to cover but this team is improved from last year and should not be taken lightly by there rivals. To over look them is a mistake”

That’s all I want from some swinging dick in the media as a diehard Dolphins fan. –Respect for one of the greatest pro sports turn arounds in history.

I've seen enough "on the field" this preseason to know that they haven't lost much if anything from two years ago. It makes me wanna puke, but it's true.

I love to get fired up from time to time over the media!!! It's almost game day baby **** those crack pots and their bull **** I hope the Dolphins go take the respect they earned last year.
