NE GOOD WRs IN FA NEXT YR

I worry about Flozell Adams' staying healthy the next few years. While he's never missed a game in his 5 year career, he does weight 360 lbs. And you have to wonder about his knees. Especially after years on that Dallas asstroturf. But the guy is really strong and athletic for his size.

At WR, you can probably scratch Boston, Jackson, Coles, Price, and probably Mason from the list.

Ike Hilliard too. Mason can't stay healthy and neither can Hilliard. Hell, he's already done for the year. I just don't feel that he can stay healthy. Maybe I've just got a sour taste from this season.

Tebucky Jones????????? Give me a break. The most overrated player in the AFC. Even Patriot fans have lost all patience with him. He doesn't play the ball, he overruns plays, he misses tackles, he gets lost in coverage.....your one track mind set about Arturo Freeman is the most ridiculous thread on the internet. And ANYONE who thinks that Miami is going to sign Tony Gonzalez, when they have Randy McMichael and when the money could be used elsewhere, is stone cold nuts.

Do you just pluck names from the sky and hope they stick?

BTW this years draft supposedly has the best crop of WR's ever. Im sure that a stud WR will drop to the mid-bottom of the first round, that in other years would be a top 10 pick.

I'd like to see the Phins persue Daryl Jackson. At times he shows some Jerry Rice type skills. A WR tandem of Jackson and Chambers would look very nice indeed. Unfortunately, while many NFL fans don't know much about this kid, most NFL personell guys do.

Miami has even said it themselves you moron, they'll get the best player available...it probably won't happen but it isnt 100% not gonna happen u idiot.

ALSO TONY G WHO WAS GONNA COME down here for Miami Heat and was reluctant to resign with Chiefs this year is a free agent si remember they only signed him to a one year deal, could be interesting in coming down here but hed be pricy...

Where did you come from?!?! Tony Gonzalez!?!? Did you not notice the possible offensive ROY lined up at TE by the name of Randy McMichael?

wow...

Best player available...yes of course they say that. But allow some realism to creep into your stratosphere. A team with needs along the OL, at LB, at WR, at back-up QB and that has key players to re-sign, such as Robert Konrad, etc....is hardly going to spend the massive bucks that Tony Gonzalez would command, when it already has a commanding TE who is 6 seasons younger. Especially when we have only about $5 million to spare, without the draft pool and guys to re-sign yet to come out of that. That would be almost as ridiculous as the majority of your posts. See the bigger picture and don't just pull names out of your asss and hope that the team signs them, because the NFL doesn't work like that. And Miami certainly don't. Why in the world would you think that after drafting Randy McMichael, the team would then bench him and bring in a player that would want a multi year, massive dollar deal, that would destroy our pay structure, would mean releasing a number of defensive starters to fit under the cap and then not even think about how you are going to pay guys like Chris Chambers, Ricky, etc, in the next couple of years, when their contracts come up for renewal.

So trot off and do your homework and show the teacher you can be something better than a moron.

Oh and it IS 100% likely that it won't happen. Trust me.

I think when it comes draft time we need to make a few deals. We only have 4 picks this offseason. I would like to see them trade Brock Marion for a draft pick or two (I loved the resigning of him but he isn't getting it done this year). Also, I would love to see them draft an OL, QB, WR OLB, and possibly a fullback pending on where Konrad/Dyer ends up.

Out of the Free Agent category, Boston and Peerles Price strike me as go after guys. However, the Fanchise tag may come out and even if they don't, it will be hard to sign either. Peerless has come on strong this year in Buffalo, I doubt they allow the breakup of him , Bledsoe and Moulds. Unless, the bottom falls out from underneath Buffalo and he wants out. Boston will almost be a lock to get slapped with the franchise label as that is all Arizona really has. Plus, isn't he out for the season with an injury this year? I know he hurt his knee but not sure how long he is out.

Takeo Spikes is an interesting little player when looking at OLB. He might be willing to want out of Cincy and I personally wouldn't mind spending a little above market value to get him. That being said, we have tons of money already locked into the defense and I am not sure we could break the bank for one more. The Draft is more likely an option for all of our holes. Now if we only had draft picks...

Good point. Even if we don't draft a WR in the 1st, we could trade up and get Lee Evans in the 2nd.

Interesting to see what we do in the draft this year. If the year keeps going like this our draft pick may be pretty good after all...

Well, at least with the way Ricky's been stopped the past month or so, it would appear we'll have our first round pick after all.

God this all sounds so pessimistic. David Boston will be tagged I mean, there's no way he won't be. Darrell Jackson may be tagged as well. I doubt the Bills place a tag on Peerless Price. I also severely doubt that Coles would be tagged. But the possibility remains for both teams to lock them up very soon after the season ends (aka before free agency).

The best ones most likely to be available, are Ike Hilliard, Oronde Gadsden, Kevin Dyson, Brandon Stokley, and MarTay Jenkins.

Of those I'd personally stay away from OG and Hilliard...but Dyson, Stokley, and even Jenkins are intriguing. Jenkins would probably have the most upside potential, almost Joe Horn-like upside potential...because he really has all the makings of a great WR except for the hands of which he has NONE. But at the moment he's in an offense that really hasn't found itself and hasn't had a good grasp of its own identity in years. I originally thought we should stay away from a guy like Jenkins because of his terrible hands but I also thought we should stay away from Az-Zahir Hakim because he has terrible hands....yet, Hakim's on pace for almost 1000 yards in a terrible offense with a rookie quarterback.

At least Jenkins would be cheap. I'd stay away from Gadsden, Dyson, and Hilliard...but I'd keep an eye on Stokley and Jenkins. Thats my take.

By the way in case you're wondering about Stokley, he's averaging 3 catches for about 45 yards a game. And lord knows his quarterback, Chris Redman, sucked, but now his numbers are suffering even more with Jeff Blake under center.

Chris Chambers is currently averaging 4 catches for 49 yards a game. His current QB sucks, but he's averaged 52 yards in the two games with Ray Lucas...which means that he averaged less under Jay Fiedler.

he has and if we dont start throwing more to him, im afraid our good WR is gonna want out of Miami when his contract expires....
