I have been meaning to write about Mr. Miller, as well as Rodney Landers, for a while. For this one, I just focused on Miller.

CK's Draft Blog: Nebraska-Omaha's Zach Miller Could Make the Wildcat Bite
March 16, 2009 - The Wildcat took the NFL by storm when the Miami Dolphins used the formation to embarrass the New England Patriots on their home field in Week 3 of the 2008 NFL season. While many have their own notions about what would work in the Wildcat formation, Chris Kouffman explores whether a little-known prospect could be one of the few in the 2009 NFL Draft that offers the Wildcat more than empty hype.

Enjoy, guys.

Here are two YouTube videos of him that I didn't link in the blog itself.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I think the rest of the NFL just doesn't "get it" when they try and put guys like Brad Smith back there.

It's already a stretch to have someone that isn't a pure running back by trade back there...the closest you will come outside a pure running back IMO would be a guy that has been a running quarterback since high school.

I think the ideal would be a player that is a premium 225+ pound running back prospect, but was also a premium quarterback prospect in high school. Those don't grow on trees.

Matt Asiata of the Utah Utes is interesting...future draft prospect. Does a lot of direct snap work with the Utes. But I don't think he has much throwing experience.

Now, if I recall...Anquan Boldin was a quarterback in high school, and I have always thought he plays the receiver position like a running back. But still, that's a stretch. I would want a guy back there that is at least 225 pounds.
