need advice to set travel plans to Phins game

I'm sure this will get moved...but I could use some advice quickly, so hopefully it can hang out here long enough for a few replies....

Going to Miami for Phins Bucs, but need to fly out that night after the game.

Question is, what sort of delays can I expect post game. The airport shows as only 30 minutes from the stadium....but what is a realistic expecation for getting there after the game? by 5? by 6? I'm back and forth between Ft Lauderdale Airport and Miami Airport....so advice on either is appreciated.

In normal traffic the stadium isn't even 30 minutes from the airport (ft. laud), but the traffic leaving the stadium after a game can be horrendous. If you're pressed for time you'll probably want to leave the game early.

most reasonalbe flight I saw was departing 7pm.....think I'd have to leave the game early to be to the airport by around 6?

It depends on how bad the traffic is at the game. Sometimes it's just smoother and quicker than others. Game ends at 4 giving you 2 hours to get to the airport. You should be ok, but given the circumstances and how the game is going I'd lean towards the safe side, leaving a few minutes early. Tough call because you have 2 hours, a lot of time. But I wouldn't want to miss a flight.

p.s. isn't it a 4:00 game? That plus 7 pm flight not a good mix.
