Any help would be appreciated for info on where you think I should stay? Do I need a rental car? Where do FinHeaven peeps tailgate? Wife wants to make arrangements for my B'day. Thanks guys and gals ahead of time! =0

I went a few years ago for the bengals/Dolphins game on Halloween, but stayed in south beach for environment. I ended up taking a bus to the game which was great because it was cheaper than cab to/from and it dropped you off and stayed right where you were dropped off so you can easily find it at end of game. Plus they had beer included in the bus price and drank on the way to the game

Depends how long are you planning to stay for? If you are planning to drink probably better to get an Uber and then you don't have to pay for parking. We tailgate at E20 area and are there when the gates open 4 hours before the start of game time. Is it your first time in Miami?

1st time there/long time fan. Been to PR a few times to visit relatives but Miami airport is all I've seen lol. I'm coming in from Vegas and will hook anybody up here if you're ever in town. What about seating? My wife is looking at sec 143 row 3? First home game in the new stadium! Help a brother out. =)

Same here guys. Looking to stay in Miami from Los ANGELES for the home opener in new stadium. Any suggestions????

My biggest suggestion is wear one shirt before the game then have one to change into for the game. I love going down for games but it's damn hot and humid. I'm hoping to catch 2-3 this year.

If you're coming to South Florida the beaches are your best bet. Ft Lauderdale or Miami. Like another poster suggested you can catch party buses at multiple locations with really good prices. There's only one place out by the stadium that I would recommend and that's the Hard Rock casino. Hope you and your wife enjoy your stay.

Where are these party buses located? How do you find them? I would like to check into that next time.

Last time I went I stayed at the sports hotel next to the stadium. I had a nice room overlooking the track and stadium. I've heard some people say to stay away from it but I had a great experience there. Nice room, nice bar/restaurant. When I come down, it's all about the game so this allowed me not to have to worry about anything. They also provided a shuttle to and from the stadium.

I know the neighborhood surrounding the stadium is not very good and it was a night game so this worked out well.

I may try something different next time but probably not south beach. Maybe something farther north, just east of the stadium?

I always get a rental car and stay in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami Beach. Don't feel like dealing with taxis or buses.

The hotel I was staying at told me of the party bus. I just asked the people at front desk how to get to the stadium and they suggested I take the bus. They called and set everything up. I just had to be waiting out front of the hotel at a specific time and they pick you up. Door to door service. Plus it was great drinking with dolphin fans I never met before.

me too.. i stay at the lowes in miami beach which is very nice.. the pelican in ft lauderdale is also nice.. A cool play to stay is Shula's in miami lakes which has all old dolphin stuff. (even if you dont stay at shula's, go there for dinner)

to me its easier to rent a car and drive, plus you can visit the training facility too if you have time

You can also go to all the malls/shops and buy Dolphins gear. Sure you can do that online but the experience of going to the mall and seeing a big selection (not something that occurs in Virginia) is wonderful.

You local guys are so cool helping out the out of town fans. I will be semi retiring to South Florida no later than 1st of October. I hope to meet some of you guys and gals:)

I went to my first home game last season and we stayed at Margaritaville on Hollywood Beach. Nice place, nice atmosphere and things to do. We took a taxi to the game and they dropped us off right by the entrance near the FH tailgate. I would definitely encourage you to attend the tailgate and meet some of the characters from the message board. Great bunch of guys and gals.

I am hoping to get down there for the October 23rd game to celebrate my wife's retirement on September 30th. I officiate high school football and that is the first week of playoffs so we will see if I am selected for a playoff game and then look into getting down there.
