I'd like to see the dolphins draft a high quality WR even if it means trading up in the draft. We havent had an above average offense in years. Having a good offense is like having another line of defense. The longer you hold the ball, the less likely it is for the other team to score. Keeping your offense on the field will improve every single one of your stats. Defense is important too, but our offense needs a playmaker.

With Parcells in the mix, the chances of drafting a WR in the first round or moving up to get a WR are about slim and none, and "slim" just left town. We have much more pressing needs on this team such as the secondary, DT, and the OL just to name a few. I don't see us drafting a WR until 5th round or later.

I agree that there are more pressing needs than WR, but with the depth of quality BIG recievers in this draft I see us being able to grab one with 2b or in the third. Guys like Hakeem Nicks (UNC), Darrius Heyward-Bay (Maryland), Britt (Rutgers), and Ramses Barden (Cal-Poly?) are all going to push each other and unless they all put up great numbers at the combine at least one should be avaliable at 2b.

I'm still here...

Defense wins championships, not very good WR's. we get no pressure at all on the QB. Fix that.

I'd rather create a fierce defense that would not only score some points itself but constantly give our offense the opportunity to score more points with great field position.

Draft???? Nah, sign or trade maybe, but not draft. We have all "young/baby" WRs....we need a vet. A #1 WR to compliment Ginn Jr.

Dolphins may just consider Camarillo "that" guy, so if they don't....they probably sign a #1 WR or trade for a Boldin. But they won't draft another youngster.

You really want to know how you keep your offense on the field longer? Mr. Millen, despite what you may think it's more than just having a "high quality WR." It's about having muscle and physicality up front in your offensive line, which opens up holes in your running game, add in a stud RB or two and you will easily see that's the best way to wear down opposing defenses and keep your offense on the field for much longer periods of time.

I don't see that happening though, we had a very low scoring offense ranking 21st in the NFL. Plus, look at the Baltimore game .. our D held them VERY well for most of the game, but the offense was just so lackluster that eventually our D couldn't keep us in the game because they were constantly on the field

The only WR really worth trading up for is Crabtree, and we obviously won't be selling the farm to acquire the top five pick necessary to draft him. Maybe...Maybe if one of the second tier WR's like Nicks or Britt really starts to fall in the second or if some draft stock disaster occurs, third round, we could try to move up a few spots to draft one. Teams are built from the inside - out, Parcells and Co. obviously subscribe to this theory. Last year was a start, this year they will expand on that. I'd be surprised if we spend a first day pick on a wideout.

I think we ought to bring Chambers back if they let him go. ( no ,i didnt hear how Chris's performence was against the steelers)

why is it every year we keep saing fix the freakin oline and every year we neglect the wr corp. I am tired of theis oline needs tobe address first.
2 wrs is what we really need and 1 dt and 2 cb's and 1 linebacker .
I am so sick of our inability to score points . we have been focusing our attention on defense for 7 years so i am ready to see miami bring in 2 wrs and use free agency some to help fill our needs this conservatisium is why the dolphins havent sniffed a superbowl in a 100 years.
add some skill talent and then get basement bargin linemen and we will win more games . I promise you guys that for sure.

If we had Boldin, Fitz, TO and Moss we still would have lost that game with the amount of time Pennington had to throw!!!!!!

Our WR's weren't dropping balls, RB's weren't dropping balls, TE's weren't dropping balls they were getting open and either Penny didn't have time to see it because he had to throw so early. Oline play stunk it up, this caused Penny to play his worst game. Let's fix the real problem (the oline), that it the end will fix the perceived problem of a need for a big time WR.

I agree. I hope we get another fast WR. To play oppsite of Ginn. that would also open holes for the running game.:bdh:
