here's a few names to choose from (Damon Huard (UFA), Jeff Garcia (UFA), Matt Schaub (RFA) and we can probably trade for any of these guys (Jake Plummer, Byron Leftwich, and Drew Bledsoe), just in case CPEP still not 100%. plus, i'm not convince that any of the qb's comimg out in this years draft is any better. (quinn, smith, kolb, stanton,) that we have a chance of drafting.

Schaub most likely is staying at Atlanta, Plummer might head to the Texans if the Broncos cut him,Leftwich is staying put I heard, Bledsoe and Garcia don't know if we want them, Huard would be a nice #2 behind C-Pep.

I think we dump Joey, and draft a QB, and will be alright. If we did pursue free agent QBs, I highly doubt Huard comes back. We crapped on him when Dan retired. Dan even told the club that Damon was the man to follow him, but they wouldn't listen.

They all stink, except maybe Garcia, but I don't think his arm will hold up through a 16 game season.

here we go again picking up other peoples garbage. i would be very happy with ginn #1 and drew stanton #2 pick spend the rest of the picks on oline, cb, lb etc.

IF those are my only options, then I would have to pick Bledsoe and Huard; and I would do this because like it was said above and before there is no one in the college ranks that is good enough, this years crop of QB's is a bust.

I think Cam is smart enough to not gamble the entire season on the poor health of C-Pep. Joey and Lemon need to go else where, I don't see them leading this team and are not the BEST quality back-up material in my book.

Also consider this, both Drew and Damon would be very cheap additions, thus if a good QB springs up next year in the college ranks then we can easily cut one of these guys to get him in here. Its the best tactical decision I feel that can be made given the choices presented.

I think

I think we will cut joey (for the cap s), c-pep, and Lemon, and they will draft a Qb, to groom.... (maybe 2-4 rd), if Quinn is not there for the 9 p.

Wouldnt it of been nice if JJ didnt just drop Huard when we had him

It was Wanny who picked Fiedler after he played (poorly) in one (the last) preseason game (against the Saints) over Huard. I'm sure Damon is very happy how that all worked out considering he is wearing multiple Super Bowl rings.....
Personally, I doubt he would have been much better/different than Fiedler.

CAM will get a read on Culpepper in MAR ... before the draft

Of those choices ... only Huard or Garcia are acceptable -- no way on all the others .... and these 2 come with uncertainty [I say this because Schaub is unavailable -- otherwise, he is THE choice]

IF we were to go this route, it would be because Culpepper isn't going to make it -- we will draft a QB in the draft and we need a 1 or 2 year starting QB for our 'draftee' ... I seriously doubt Lemon will hold the fort either short or long term ....

I won't even address Joey ... because he is all but gone -- one way or another ...

No more recycled old QB's, get Daunte back in there for next season, trade Joey, put Lemon at #2 and draft a QB in the late rounds for the future.

I think Schaub will want out of Atlanta at any cost since they already said Vick is there guy. Schaub has proved over and over he can play and deserves a shot to start somewhere. I am still not sold on Huard as much as I like the guy, he is just not the kind of QB that can burn a defense deep. Garcia is too old, yeah he had a great run this year but he had something to prove and he did. Those other guys are all has beens and would be money wasted.

Hey Rodney, how's things?

I agree, Schuab will want out, but I think he stays in Atlanta until Petrino sees what he wants, for at least one more year. Nobody else on that list tickles my fancy!
