Jackson needs benched. They picked up Austin Reiter to play C. Why not just go sign Russell Okung? They need another veteran tackle to help this team out. If they could add another piece to the line maybe the staff could then begin to evaluate Tua, when he comes back from injury?

Russell Okung is available? And why?

My understanding with Okung is that he made $13.5M with Carolina last year and he will only sign with a team for a “satisfactory” offer. I believe we have something like $1.63M in cap space right now (not sure how the Grant trade will effect that). We really don’t have the ability to add more talent without making some trades.

Sounds like Okung is in it for the money only not for the game. I understand it, tackle is a hard position and he could even get hurt and in his career. Get paid while you can.

Our FO has pushed their level of insight over their edge with getting Reiter. Then realizing another LT is critically needed to replace the orange cone of Jackson is unbelievably beyond their capacity to understand. Plus I think they fear their own exposure to the failure in drafting him. We have an EGO driven FO now and basic common sense and their plans just goes out the window.
(so Jacksons one of the 5 best OL we have ? ) Flores PC BS at work as always...

This lack of a move falls on Grier and as time goes on we will pay dearly for it. To bad much of the Fan base needs to experience those Scew-ups before they become even half way logical. Do though think OL will get somewhat better and maybe even be Mediocre after its to late to achieve anything we all wished for a few months ago. ( by grow to 20th worst in NFL )

Me finally expect nothing and thus not bummed out but this FO is just hard headed to the extreme and just continues is don't do squat approach.

Swhwartz Okung or trade for Decker to name a couple starting places. ( Love the OL coodinators yesterday and their BS spiewed to keep tjeir jobs and continue in this half azz blinding approach we've experienced for months now.....Oh well same ole same ole ...JMO

Just to add I thought that Mancz at center looked to have some good stuff..JMO

I do believe the line will gradually get better, but the ceiling will be middle of the pack at best.

The play calling needs to improve drastically, and quite frankly is the one thing that could change this team around quickly. Do we have the coaching mindset to make these changes or will their stubbornness and ego get in the way?

We freed up his base salary by trading him. His base was 2mil*, and this morning I forget if there's any prorating of base due to games played or all 2mil gets freed up.

Spotract and OTC have two different base salaries for Grant*
Spotrac says 1.55mil base, OTC has it at 2mil.

Maybe because Okung is old, can no longer stay healthy and has no motivation to play unless it is for big money (which we cannot afford).

They're all in it for the money. If they got paid like teachers I doubt 99% would still want to play.

I just don't understand how this organazation thought starting 3 rookie lineman last year with no traing camp was a good idea, Now again this year they are leaning heavily on these 3 and another rookie. Obviously they were, and are struggling. With all the negative critizicsm from fans and the media, these guys have to have their confidence destroyed. There should have been 3 or 4 veterans for these young guys to play behind, and get experience for a couple of years. Now I just don't know if they will recover. Maybe Hunt and Eichenberg can, but I am not sure Jackson and Kindley can.

I don't think this is a thing.

If they are able to improve as players, it will come through hard work and practice.

If they fail because of the media and fans, I don't really know what to tell you about that.

No doubt, plus its hard work. I know I couldn't do it. It sure isn't like throwing the K2 around to my friends on the street. Go Deep! LOL!

How do you guys plan to fit this new amazing LT or RT under our cap this year? Next year, yeah. This year? Going to be hard.

any good LT won't be available now. The time to fix this O-line was thru free agency in the off season of 2020 and 2021 but instead our FO wasted money on players that are not even here anymore. You want to fix LT?.......get a new GM as soon as the season ends.
