Geez, I just dont get all the negatives from some of the fans on this site.

Sure, just like all, when one of our players makes a bad play it upsets me, ut when they turn around and make a great play I cheer.

I can't figure why so many judge to get rid of players so early in the pre-season,we should be cheering for them all to put the best possible team on the field.
 
it doesnt make a difference.. people dont understand that, but i guess thats what makes conversation.. if this world didnt have a little chaos then it would be pretty boring! get what im saying?

As I have said many times on these forums over the years, Phins fans are the most fickle fans in the league. I don't know why, but there is no loyalty to team anymore, neither by fans or players. Players chase money and fans ask, "what have you done for me lately?" Having been a Phins fan for 37 years, I don't know which is worse, watching this team go downhill over the years or watching my fellow fans kick them while they are down. The fact is that NO ONE on these boards is more aware of the team's shortcomings than the Owner, GM and HC of this team.
 
lungostr is right! The fans are all about what have you done for me lately.. but so is the front office.. thats how this league is... specifically the threads that state "we should get rid of ronnie brown". i dont think i have ever been so infeariated in my life.. telling facts is one thing, but giving up on our best player is utterly redundant

Got me by a few years, I became a fan in 72, struggled during 75-76 and then the woodstrock years, but dan cemented me to a solid fan.
 
It's just their level of education and upbringing. Some people just aren't smart.
 
you know what makes it all the more unbearable?

some people.... believe it or not... get their kicks acting like idiots on the boards just to stir something up and start a ruccus.... They musn't have normal lives i presume.

Some people are not living in a fantasy land like most of you are saying things like you are going to beat us week 1, Pennington is better than Favre, just crap like that.

Oh and before you crown Ricky the rushing champ, I'd like to see him stay healthy for longer than 2 plays in the regular season.

hm, that came from out of no where. Nobody in this thread said miamis gonna win that game. No one in this thread said penningtons better than favre. No one in this thread crowned Ricky the rushing champ.

what was your point here? Why come into this thread where nobodies saying these things? And why is all of a sudden being positive called 'living in a fantasy land." "Oh no, miami fans think their team is going to win more than one game, better stomp out that fire quickly."

Seriously, if I didn't know any better, I'd think your nervous about the opener. God knows your more nervous then any of us Dolphins fans, we got nothing to lose.

Great post.............Alot of people here have no patience and look for the easy way to get results without sacrifice.

I hear the frustration, especially when the posts are delusional, but I don't think it is that big of deal. I have not been a fan for 37 years, only 25 years, and I don't think there has been that big of a change other than a playoff drought and 3/4 losing seasons with an internet that allows every idiot to showcase how they feel. I don't think there is any reason to assume that the phins fans are more negative then other teams (we are bad with selling out home games, but we don't litter the field with trash after a game, cheer when a player gets hurt, etc.)

There are different ways of being a fan. If someone has a bad vibe about a player they do have the right to express that opinion. As one poster put it on a different thread, it is the name "in front" of the jersey that matters more, and that can manifest differently in terms of how fans support the name on the back of the Jersey depending on personal styl. I agree that it can be annoying when that opinion is used to belligerently beat other fans over the head (e.g., "anyone who thinks X still has a shot is just an idiot"), but there is a middle ground. This isn't the phins move to stepford.

Finally, there are handful of threads where the OP calls someone a bust with little basis and handful of posters who think any specific player is a bust without giving them a legit shot. Why should that color the rest of the people here or Phins fans in general? a couple of people on the internet are not a representative sample of an entire fan site and certainly not of an entire fanbase. Usually, those threads get blasted by many posters who respond (sometimes inappropriately themselves) and disagree strenuously. You may get one poster who thinks we need to cut Ronnie brown today, and 10-15 who call that guy out.

Just my opinion though
