All the talk about "suck for Luck" is drawing some negative attention to Dolphin fans. I am not going to list direct quotes, but talk radio, media in general, and sports television has gotten a hold of all this "Luck" stuff. My concern is that, while funny, it is also drawing negative attention from "potential" head coaches. I understand why fans would want the season tanked, but it goes against the grain of pulling for your team. I don't know if I can ever support a campaign of losing. But I also understand that this organization is very much at fault for what fans are thinking and doing these days. And as someone recently put it, if you are bad enough to draft Andrew Luck you have more needs than you can fill.

We didn't make up the phrase, "suck for Luck"...the media did. Just because we are one of the front running teams for the #1 pick, doesn't mean a thing.

No potential coach will care about a disgruntled franchise looking for an answer, in fact it may be more of a reason to come, stepping in as someone that can bring the franchise back to glory. Esp if we in fact do get the #1 pick.

If you are sick of hearing people rooting for us to lose and getting the #1 pick thats one thing....but to be worried for the future candidates is ridiculous.

The fanbase is taking a beating like none I've ever seen here in Dallas.

All those that have taken on this Mantra, get ready for everything attached to it. It's not going to be pleasant.

Yeah because losing year after year after year after year doesn't draw any negative attention to the franchise from the fans lol.

We need a franchise QB or we aren't winning anything any time soon. Period.

A campaign of losing is in turn, a campaign of winning and change.

A lot of people just can't see it yet.

I think it's great! They should thank God they still have fans. Some of these fans have been here 2,3,4 decades. The worse thing for this team would be nothing.

Some of you are all for Suck for Luck, some are dead against it. Either way your still here. I think those in both camps are "good fans" some of us just deal with the grief differently.

This shows Ross there is still some fans here and if you make the right changes you can have a real good thing going. I think by now deep down inside Ross is on board with Suck for Luck. It probably doesn't sound so good if he tells ESPN that.

Taking on the persona of actually hoping for losses is something you won't ever outlive. EVER.

Once again, I have to pose this question, have you personally ever seen Luck play? I've asked this question no less than 12 times and haven't been told that "Yes, I have, I know exactly what and who he is".

I find it mindboggling and actually very troubling that an entire fanbase would hope for losses for a media led promise.

Once again, IF we end up getting Luck, better hope he pans out immediately or our entire fanbase will never hear the end of it.

We aren't going to win anytime soon when we have a defense that has constantly been terrible and overrated for the past 10 years either. Once we get a defense who can make a 3rd down stop when it matters most is when we actually have a chance. Luck will not start scoring 30 points per game which most fans and delusions of grandeur are believing. With Luck we still need a sharp defense after all he is going to be only a rookie. And what happens if he has an injury that never makes him the same? All that whining and crying for nothing.

I understand what you are saying, and agree that drastic changes need to be made. I would LOVE to have Luck in a Dolphins uniform next season, but I cannot bring myself to actively root against MY team. There is no way I can sit in front of the TV watching the Dolphins and hope they lose, or enjoy the fact that they are losing. That being said, the losses now are far, far more less disappointing and gut-wretching than they use to be. Unfortunately, I think I am becoming numb to the fact that this franchise has become such a joke.

The fans are not the responsible party here IMO.They are just frustrated with the lack of effort & quality of product in the MIA and letting it vent with the slogan. Look at it this way...In every other venue of your life you expect people to do their best. That BK sandwich? Better not be from last night or you are not happy. Car repair? If you get it back in worse shape than you left it...Pissed. So when we see the same sorry results placed on the field year in...year out...the fans have good reason to be disgruntled. I really am to the point where I don't think our Owner,FO,Coaches or 80% of the Players even care anymore. I know one thing...If I owned a product like the current Fins I would be telling the few faithful left how I was addressing the train wreck every week...Our guy? ***Crickets***

Even more than a Defense, we need an O-line that can keep our Starting QB from season ending injuries.

The Defense, while looking REALLY bad this year, was ranked 6th last year overall. We need lots of things. These false givings of "Just lose baby and everything will be okay" is beyond ridiculous, but, if I was a Jest, Bills or Cheatriots fan right now, I would be licking my chops over the grilling I would be handing out.

What does having seen Luck play personally have anything to do with it? Media led promise? You think that just because he's all over ESPN that's it's just hype?

Now I'm wondering if you've even seen Luck play on your DVR lol.

Watch him play. I watch a ****load of college football. Andrew Luck is a kid who can turn around your franchise. Same as John Elway and Peyton Manning was.

There are no guarantees. But I can guarantee Matt Moore isn't taking us anywhere. Neither is Chad Henne.

You can put all of your eggs in the basket of a kid that might be a second round project from some truck driving school if you want but that **** isn't working. Look around the league and tell me who is winning Super Bowls and tell me how they're doing it.

Take some risks. Gamble a bit.

Fans are missing the point.. It's about the fans.. not the team. Our home field is a joke because of the lack of support. Not because of opposing fans buying tickets. Not because of the heat. Excuses can only go so far. It's one thing to want a winning.. it's another thing all together to tank on your team when only 4 games have been played.

Sure we may attract coaches.. maybe not.. It's a poisonous situation. If he doesn't deliver immediately, he gets flame roasted too.

Andrew Luck? I sure as hell wouldn't come here either the way we've thrown our players under the bus. And yes, players can dictate where they go. So all this suck for luck doesn't guarantee anything.

There simply isn't any support for this team anymore. People are roasting an owner who didn't create this mess. Just blaming anything and anyone blindly like a lynch mob at the Salem Witch trials.

Every team goes through a down period. But the real sad part is when the fans make jokes out of themselves.

There isn't much for us to defend anymore. When someone comes here and says Dolphin fans suck... we may have to agree.

The sad part is.. FH used to talk about the players, plays, games etc... noow all we're talking about is how bad we can suck, for a player that has no guarantee of being anything.

Makes me believe that people will buy anything shoved in their face.

Well nothing rhymes as well with Barkley or Jones so Suck for Luck is catchy.

If they had not waited 28 years and counting on drafting a QB to be the face of the franchise then we wouldn't be in position to take a shot at Luck. They brought it on themselves with poor decisions and the fact that they don't value the most important position on the football field.

And this won't scare away any potential coaches. If we end up with the first pick in the draft we will literally have our pick of potential coaches...and GMs.

Sure I've seen Luck play, 1-1/2 seasons worth.
He has LOTS of promise, but he's not the only one that does.

To openly hope and cheer for your team to lose is pathetic. Just imagine how it would look if we saw Jest fans rolling over for this.
