I live in Montreal and I'm a Dolphins' fan since 1983. I love to team to death. Everyday at home or at work, I read everything I can of the Phins and I would say that the majority of the posters here are good and very interesting to read. In Montreal, it's hockey and only hockey with the Canadiens. If they win 2 games, it's the Stanley Cup, if they lose 2 games, they are garbage and the more I read some posts here, it reminds me a bit of this. I know there nothing good of being 0-3 but I can't believe how negative few fans are here. Jake Long had one bad game last year and two this year and we should have draft Ryan. Porter is washed up. Bell, Grove, Wilson, Turner, Crowder and on and on are garbage. Pennington is the noodle, Chad Henne will never be a future QB. Pat White is a bust, the complete 2009 is a bust. Ronnie had been bash a lot by some here. I hate the Jets and some of their fans but their fans stand by Sanchez before he even made a pass. Until proven wrong, every Dolfans should stand by him and by every players on the team. The majority of fans here are like that but to the few negative here, I say why don't you back up your team without always criticize our players. It's true that some players need to give more like Crowder, Wilson, Bell but I'll stand by them as long as they are on our team. Just remember last year after 2 games, Goodman was torched all the time and everybody wanted him out. Look at the rest of his year, he almost played like a pro-bowl. Sorry for being that long and it might be a long year but I say GO DOLPHINS. Let's start by beating the Bills and who knows against the Jets. Just imagine beating them on Monday Night. Sweet!
 
I know what you mean..I live in Montreal and we won 1 playoff game 2 years ago and they were burning cars on the street like we won a cup..

But let's not compare the dolphins and the Canadiens...

The dolphins have like 2 playoff appearances in 10 years..This is a disgrace for the only team who went undefeated in NFL history.

This is the nature of the business..When we win - everyone's happy
 
Jake Long is a quality player BUT the Phins should have drafted Ryan.

Porter IS washed up.

Pat White was a horrible pick on draft day and up to this point hasn't done much to disprove that, obviously it is early but really what is his potential?

Please don't put Henne anywhere near the same sentence as Sanchez. Sanchez is an elite Qb prospect, Henne is not.

I was on the Jets boards like I always am. What was I supposed to run and hide because the Dolphins finally beat the Jets for the first time in what seems like forever, in a game that was meaningless for the Jets?
 
You tell me that Jake Long is a quality player, not much? I'll take more pro-bowlers like that. As for Porter, I believe your were saying the same week 3 last year when he destroyed the Patriots to help you gained to lead of the AFC east at that time ??? 3 games into this year and you can judge the player! For QB, when you draft them, nobody knows for sure what will happen. It's a gamble. Sanchez did very less in college compare to Henne. You say Sanchez is a elite prospect ? Maybe you're right maybe not. But Sanchez benefits from having a very strong OL. Did you notice how bad Sanchez was in the first half of the Patriots' game. He was horrible. He lost 3 balls last sunday. Lucky enough, he crossed to goal line just before and one was recovered by the Jets, but if he keeps fumbling the ball, he might have problem. Henne as been very good in his first game last year. I don't think you or any fans are qualified enough to say a player is a bust before he even played. I watched a lot a college games I get almost all the USC games and I'll tell you that Sanchez was good in college but not better than Henne. Wait a little. Sanchez has a better OL, a better WR group and a better TE set. You'll agree with me that it helps! Right now, Sanchez is not winning games, he is not loosing them because of your defence. As for the meaningless game last year, you are absolutely wrong. The game became meaningless while we were playing you, so the Jets knew they were dead with 2 minutes to go in the game.

well lets not put sanchez in the elite group just yet.. and only after 3 games... plus you need to give henne a realistic chance to prove himself as well.. i do like the way sanchez is playing.. but elite.. (you know you get sick if you drink that much koolaid right..lol)
 
be careful.the kid has tendinitis in the knee already.the jets are one hit away,going from heroes to goats.just like everybody else.

Even though it is very negative, unpleasant & annoying, I think the real issue is a complete and total lack of perspective. Being negative and understanding what the issues are is one thing, but that would be a major step up for some of the posters around here.

Another thing is the 24-7 media is really driven by this stuff. Every 30 seconds there is a new knee-jerk sound bite that is completely distorted and screaming with shallow rhetoric. A lot of them sound like H.W. assignments from 11 year olds. :wink:

I said Sanchez was an elite QB prospect, there is no denying that. Also I never said anything about Henne other then he was not an elite prospect, there is also no denying that either. Elite QB prospects don't fall to the second round.

I do think Jake Long is a heck of a talent, I also think Matt Ryan is on his way to becoming a great QB. Tell me, which player would you have rather had, Orlando Pace or John Elway? The answer is you always take the pro bowl QB over the pro bowl LT. My thinking is you never pass on a franchise QB prospect when you don't already have one. At the time the Dolphins did not have one and IMO they still don't.

I forgot about the media thing. It's also true that they have a big influence on fans here in Montreal for hockey, so I guess it's the same for the Phins.
